.It's a rental yard that also sells Stihls. They gave me the number for the 039 kit. I'm not sure I trust the info provided by most of the workers there.

Looking online for a new impulse line for a 361 all I see are pix of straight rubber tubing, they don't have the bends like the current impulse line has. Would it be okay to use automotive vacuum tubing as the impulse line as long as it fits tight on the fittings on both ends?

If it was my saw, I would blame it on the space aliens. They refuse to leave me alone and mess with me all the time causing weird unexplainable things to happen.

Any idea of the measurements of the shutter? I could probably fabricate something from my junk pile that will work.

The fuel tank vent line on my 039 cracked. I get sprayed with gas when the saw is running, so this must end and be fixed. Should I spend $8.50 online to buy one, or should I simply find a screw that fits into a new hunk of fuel line and call it good? The original line has two screws in it. Also...

I did manage to remove the roll pin completely, backed out the adjustment screw about 1/8" and was able to move the piston. Since it's fighting me going back together, I ordered a pump and worm gear drive thingy set online, both new parts. Not gonna mess with the old pump any more.

Probably just as well, every Stihl dealer around here is arrogant and greedy and I HATE dealing with people like that.
