    Heated Jacket??

Hey guys, Anyone try climbing with these heated jackets? Milwaukee, Dewalt, Ororo are a couple brands. Just wondering how they fit under a harness. They are thinner material which would give you great mobility.

How to make people slow down while working roadside.

I used to always have trouble with cars hitting my traffic cones and speeding by my work area. Now I slide a sledgehammer handle down the centre of the cone with the hammer up. Leaves a nice dent in the hood.

    Flipping stubs

If the tree is relatively straight, don't tie it at the top. Try putting your rope about halfway. That way the tip won't have as much momentum from groundies pulling on it. A narrow notch helps too. Make sure to cut the bark on both sides of the notch too so that the log is completely free when...

    Climbing pants

I always try and find the cheapest pants to climb with. Dickies or Wranglers. I've spent good money on pants before and they usually end up getting wrecked from spruce or pine sap.

    Groundmen say the darnedest things.

Don't cut it in half, I'll take the whole log. (Off for the next week with a sore back)

What weather conditions do you work in?

I don't like to work when it is any colder then -15 F. I'll work in the rain as long as it is not coming down too bad. Obviously no thunder and lightning and wind play a factor if I'm doing a difficult removal.

    Stihl 034 Fuel Line Question

I had the exact same problem with my 034, the fuel line was mush. The dealer gave me the S-shaped fuel line and I thought it was the wrong one because I couldn't get it to fit. The dealer assured me it was the right fuel line so what I did to get it in is i lubed it with 2 stroke oil and put it...

Advise on nice 70 + CC Saw

Already having 50cc saw the best thing you can do is combine it with a 70cc saw. The 441, 460, 372xp and the 7900 are all great saws. I would try to get each saw in my hands to see which feels the best to you. And you can't go wrong with heated handle bars either if your spending any time in the...

    ps-7900 stock vs 6401 w/ 84cc bb kit

The 6401BB P&C is after market and might not be the same quality as the 7900. 7900 might out last the 6401BB.

How often do you turn the bar over

I agree, customers trust comes first over flipping the bar.

How often do you turn the bar over

Usually when the hole for the oiler gets clogged or there is obvious wear on the bottom of the bar. Generally more often on my bucking saw. My limbing saw gets more even use of the top and bottom.

    Help Porting my Stihl 034

I have read those threads. I read Brad's thread on the BB361 which I thought would be a close match to my saw but going by the pics the cylinder is different. my cylinder doesn't go down into the case, it just sits flush. That's why I asked about the transfer ports.
