    excavator for residential tree work

I personally don't like terex, but they are ASV so they have been around a long time and work fairly well in the forestry/landscaping industry. Bobcat makes a good miniex IMO, but they are expensive. When friends ask me what to buy, one of the most important things is a good dealer. The...

    Stihl kombi extension

+1, it depends on your personal strength a little. But really it is the duration you will be using it for. IMO the weight difference only comes into play after a long period of time.

    Cutting Poly Pipe

We have a 1200' HDD and seven auger bores. Plus we have to run a fiber optic control line with it, which will also need a 2" bore.

    Cutting Poly Pipe

I think I am going to error on the side of caution to start with and just buy some cheap saws, no bar oil and then see how it goes. Then we'll see if we can talk an inspector into allowing a coolant. If all goes well, then we'll get some good saws to put out on the line.

    Cutting Poly Pipe

The next project we have is a little over ten miles of pipe. I just can't see a saw making it that long with no lubrication.

    Cutting Poly Pipe

Like I said, we do it for the smaller diameter. Can't use an abrasive blade, it just "fills" up with the plastic. I have used a diamond multi-use blade to cut the larger pipe, but that was just in tie-in situation. The other problem, normall the pipe is rigged up when making the cut, so not...

    Cutting Poly Pipe

Not concerned about contaminating the water, they are concerned about the fused joint, don't want the bar oil getting mixed in.

    Cutting Poly Pipe

We do on the smaller diameters, but it is too hard to keep the cut straight on larger diameters. For fusing, the pipe needs to butt up perfectly. The fusing maching will hone the pipe down, but the less it has to do, the better.

You need to meet our inspectors, and then you would know why. This is for water transport for fracking wells.

    Cutting Poly Pipe

I need to set up three chainsaws to cut 20" SDR11 poly pipe. For those that don't know, 20" is the O.D. and the wall thickness is about 2". I googled and got some info on how to do it, just wanted to get your opinions as well. We can't use bar oil. Most companies just don't run any oil...

    Loader Bucket

Tumbler wouldn't work, it has already been discussed. The area the piles are in are not clean either, so we are always scraping junk up with it. And the area is too large to pave or pour a slab at this point. I wouldn't even want to see the cost of a tumbler for our loader.

    Loader Bucket

Looking for a loader bucket for firewood, one that won't load all the junk too. (We have a stoned yard) This would be a 2-2.5 CY bucket for a wheel loader. I looked at the rock spline (skeleton) buckets, but they want 10k for one of those. That seems fine, but most of that money is in making...
