    The Beg for Manuals Thread

066 mag I would love the service manual & parts list for a Stihl 066 magnum. If anyone out there is willing and able, I would be very appreciative. THANKS! :greenchainsaw:

    066 mag, oiler question

from the time the saw starts it takes a few seconds for the oil to start flowing. from there, its gotta be pointed at the cardboard for a few seconds more to see even the slightest of oil lines. any suggestions as to what might be the problem, if there is a problem at all?

    066 mag, oiler question

well, I just checked everything I could check. Its flowing, but its not flowing fast, and turned up as far as I can turn it (so the slot on the screw is perpendicular to the blade), it sprays the TINIEST amount of oil. After it warmed up and the oil started flowing, you could see a line of oil...

    066 mag, oiler question

Thank you all for your replies, but Im not sure my question is being understood clearly. Why cant I turn the screw any further than half way? Is that just the way it is on the 066 models or is there something wrong with it? I have what would equate to an adjustment range of 0-50 on a 100...

    066 mag, oiler question

Im just wondering why I cant turn the screw past what looks to be the half way point. The "E" on the 066 is right in the middle of the gauge, but I should be able to turn the screw past that setting, right?

    066 mag, oiler question

Just picked up an 066mag. its in great shape, starts up just fine. I am unable to get the spray of oil coming off of the chain like I am supposed to. When i adjust the oiler, starting at the lowest setting, the slot in the screw is horizontal. The screw only allows me to turn it clockwise until...

Used Stihl 066 magnum: whats a good price?

If only I had gotten the itch back then! haha. Oh well, Im happy with my saw. I think Ive decided to just use it the way it is now and make it look pretty in the winter months. It runs great, might as well just put it to work! 460's dont have 92cc's & 7hp. :chainsawguy: 460 was on my list...

Used Stihl 066 magnum: whats a good price?

Newer plastic with the hump. Honestly, this is more saw than I will ever realistically need. (Not that you all couldnt figure that out by a noob buying an 066!) I figured for a little more $$ than a new MS290 would cost, I could get a saw that would probably last until I give it to my kids...

Used Stihl 066 magnum: whats a good price?

Hi, Ive been lurking for a few days now. Great site! A lot of knowledgeable people here. I have found a lead on a "Stihl 066 magnum w/25 inch bar & new chain" which looks to be in great condition. Seller says that the saw has been "gone over, and it is in excellent condition." From the pics...
