No luck I replaced the spring, and moving pieces of the chain brake with no luck. For a temporary fix i cut about a half inch off the spring, and everything seems to be working fine.

My cs-400 chain brake is stuck. I opened it, but i can't see anything wrong with it. It's almost like the spring is just too stiff. But i know thats not the case, because it's worked fine for last year and half. Does Anyone know what the problem might be?

Do They have the fully adjustble carb with the hi/lo? I love my echo trimmer but it's starting to run a little lean and there are no adjustment screws on it.:bang:

I know stihl trimmers are awesome. But the dealer down the street was quite rude, and basically refused to help when I tried to get a chain for my echo cs400. So I'm not buying a stihl.

I subscribed to this forum just so I could see your slides. Nice job! I copied everything you did, plus enlarged the deflector holes. Before the 18” bar was almost more than the motor could handle, not anymore!
