    066 clutch trouble

Lol, thanks. That is the way I have mine installed, but looks a little different. The dish portion is smaller in diameter. Maybe I'll order a new one. Does yours come in contact with the oiler arm? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    066 clutch trouble

Looked, cleaned scotchbrited and still couldn't find anywhere that said top. Unfortunately, the only other person that has a saw like this, would probably not let me take the clutch off his 3 week old 660. I am gonna ask tho for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    066 clutch trouble

It idles really good above 2000 rpm. If the normal idle speed is 2500, then there is for sure something else going on. Is there a possibility that the washer between the oil pump arm and clutch is wrong? It has 1122 stamped on it, but maybe it is pressing on the oiler arm causing the drum to...

    066 clutch trouble

Holes in clutch shoes are almost perfect, I don't feel any hang ups or steps in the spider arms. I measured the drum inside with my dial bore gauge and also outside with my mic and came up with .0005" out of round in any direction. I can't find the bag my springs came in, but the set I took out...

    066 clutch trouble

Getting closer. I'm at 1-1/4 out on low speed and had to turn idle up a little more and it seems to be idling a little smoother. Thanks for the help boys, I'll be sure to get her dialed in next time I get it in some wood! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    066 clutch trouble

Under 2200 rpm the chain is about stopped. At about 1800 it stops completely, but acts like it wants to stall and is lazy when you snap the throttle. Low speed set at 1 turn out 13300 on top a smidge past one turn out. Dual port muffler cover and stock outlet opened up. Bar and chain clean and...

    066 clutch trouble

I've recently been spending some quality time with my 066. It is a saw that I have had for a while and is in amazing condition. While I typically don't use it often, I just finished a 7' diameter oak, and other than my 088, it was the saw I used most. I'm running a 25" bar. My trouble is with...

Maybe 60cc saws aren't so bad. Ported MS362 inside.

I'm thinking about adding a 362cm to my much loved 036 pro. She's cherry and really rips good with a MM. I'm curious as to how they would compare from someone that has run them both. Stock vs stock and ported vs ported?

Boiler size: does bigger mean more wood?

My wife doesn't hang cloths on the line in the winter and the extra smoke is a misconception, plus i dont live in town so the neighbors all burn wood also. I surly don't burn more wood than the little guys, if anything it's less, noticeable amount less. What makes a clean burn more efficient...

Boiler size: does bigger mean more wood?

I have a central cl-40, 400 gallon storage heating a 1450sq ft house, small 2 car attached garage, a 24x30 detached, and my domestic hot water and I throw a heaping wheel barrel load in every day when I get home from work regardless of how cold it is. Less if its 30 or higher. I have a close...

    Ms360 ms361 ms362

I vaguely remember a round top 360? What was the story with those? And besides the clutch drum on the 036 having the small bearing, are there any other "updates" that I should keep in mind when I do the swap?

Flippy caps don't bother me, I find them kinda convenient. I have a real low hour 036 pro with a cracked case and broken handle. I thought they were the same, but your post of it being bigger made me question that. After re reading your post, I see how you worded it. Thanks for clearing that up.

Other than flippy caps, I thought 036 pros and MS360s were the same. If I'm incorrect, will ms360 cases work with an 036pro doner saw?

    Flying bee cricket

Wow, not what I was hoping for. I saw these guys in a hickory tree that I removed and brought the premium wood home. The only option I have for heat treating would be to make sure I burn all the infested wood next winter in my OWB. Are there pesticides that professionals use that may kill them...

    Flying bee cricket

Can someone please tell me what kind of bug this is? It started off in my nice pile of hickory, but now I'm seeing it in my other premium wood piles. Also to the pesticide pros, what is a good pesticide that a normal person can actually buy? I used to use diazinon with great results, but it is...

    West Central Ohio GTG

Don't know what the settings should be on that, but when the screws are all the way in, it shuts the fuel off. Gently seat them in, then back out to factory settings. If there are no factory settings I would try L out 3/4 an H out 1.
