    You could also try loosening the nut but not getting it completely off of the threads and hit the nut instead, thus protecting the threads from possible damage fromm the hammer blow.

    Wow...went to mikes site. Those are some pretty big saws. Too bad the small solo, echo ones were so weak. I bet that with todays tech a pretty mean saw could be made. Probably a good milling saw cause of the weight, but out in the bush, those trees would run for their lives.

    I was just wondering if anybody has straped on a mini NOS system on a saw. I know this would probably wreak havoc on a work saw, or any saw for that matter; but thought it would be a cool weekend project and a real crowd pleaser in a competition.
