Linesman II Boom, Bleeding the Lines?

Hopefully you’ve sorted it by now, for your benefit or anyone else’s in future if you haven’t; Starting with dry lines try to ‘bench blead’ Them as much as possible. Ie. with the low end of the line connected, try to fill the line from the high point as much as possible. Use of a measuring...

441cm piston stuck in cylinder (again) bearings destroyed

All good ideas and will give some a try. I may not have been clear enough in the description, I've already split the case halves so I just have the loose jug/piston/crank to deal with. In which case maybe put the jug in a vice and try working the crank a bit while rapping? There's no urgent...

441cm piston stuck in cylinder (again) bearings destroyed

I try to limit myself to only one "why?" Question per day for my sanity, and this wasn't one of them. If you run a tree service you're gonna go through saws. They're more of a consumable item than an asset. A busy tree company might put more hours on a saw in 2 or 3 days than many home owners...

441cm piston stuck in cylinder (again) bearings destroyed

Some of the aftermarket pistons are not bad, especially with OEM rings. The cylinders just don't make the kind of power that OEM jugs do in my experience. Worst of the lot are the generic "big bore" unbranded Chinese stuff.

441cm piston stuck in cylinder (again) bearings destroyed

That's about the best news I've had this week.... I think :-) any advice how to fest go about it? Could I remove the decomp etc and put the jug in the oven and maybe melt the plastic?

441cm piston stuck in cylinder (again) bearings destroyed

Few months back I posted this thread about a piston stuck in cylinder https://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/441cm-piston-stuck-in-cylinder.317717/ It sat on the shelf for a while till I got to it last week and split the case to try to get at it a little better, where I discovered the...

    441cm piston stuck in cylinder

Yeah, I had it stripped down to just a bare case before reassembly, recoil, clutch, whole intake side, muffler all off. So when I got it back together that was the first thing I tried - strip it bare again. Will have a look at it over the weekend, you guys have already given me some pretty...

    441cm piston stuck in cylinder

I’ll have a look at that this weekend, from memory I couldn’t get the cylinder up high enough to clear the crank case and be able to rotate it but I’ll look again. Anything’s possible, I guess the cue lip could have popped out. Doesn’t seem like the wrist pin stuck in a transfer, it has quite...

    441cm piston stuck in cylinder

OK, So this one has me buggered. Stripped one of my 441's down a couple weeks back because it had a weird sound coming out of it. No big deal, turned out to be a bit of crud bouncing around the crankcase. So I cleaned the crankcase out and put it back together and that's where the fun begins...

How many are running square ground?

I don't have much experience with square ground. I've bought some chain that come from the factory square by chance and it ran pretty good. i don't log any more but run a full time tree service with a dozen saws, about half ported. Usually end up running semi chisel because over the years I've...

    Vermeer sc65 hydraulic pressure?

If anyone has a manual or knows the spec I'd really appreciate it. Apparently 2 hydraulic motors, I'm looking for the operating pressure for setting the bypass valve on both. I don't have a manual and Vermeer Australia is not being helpful.

    Vermeer sc65 hydraulic pressure?

Nobody checks in to those sub forums. A lot of long time members aren't even aware that they exist. You have a small chance of getting an answer to the question in this forum, zero chance in heavy equipment
