Still putting one foot in front of the other. Still cutting firewood. Took some pines down for a friend in Montana last spring. Muscle memory sure isn't what it used to be, but I did manage to put them where they needed to go. Merry Christmas and a good New Year to you!
Been a couple of years since I've been on here. Just an old beat down firewood hack anymore, so don't feel like I have anything to contribute. Good to see you still on here Reindeer, and a couple of "neighbors" Northy, and Madhatte
Haven't been on here for a long time Northy. Sorry to read about the loss of your friend. Guessing it didn't make the local Tacoma paper I take, and I don't watch TV.
Haven't been over there in I don't know how long? There was one chowderhead who I think worked in a bucket truck. He was posting **** about the proper way to do things. Not even sure I have the site bookmarked anymore?
Had a bit of rain this morning. More in the forecast. Don't know if it hit the Jolly Mnt. Complex, or Norse Peak. The wind have cleared everything out here south of Seattle.
Great! Thanks guys. I'm guessing from the looks of the cover it could be from a 5 series saw. I don't own any of them. I have a 49SP, a few 630's, and 670's. 1 830, a 920, and a 930 Super, and none of them have those numbers on them.
A guy posted a picture on another site of a Jonsered(s) clutch cover. It had 3 numbers on the bottom of it. 10, 12, and 14 IIRC. I'm sure some of you on here know what saw(s) they were on and what they were there for. I know none of mine have them?
Well you didn't buy 2 2100's that's for sure. Was never around the 285's all that much so can't remember if they had the front mount or not. If the one saw is 298, you at least got two 6cube saws
As others have stated. A 298 was really kinda a newer 1100. No manual oiler, but a crappy starter. Most guys or dealers would put a 2100 starter on them.
Just talked to my bud in Omak. Seems the mill just lost their contract with whatever outfit they were selling to in Oregon. The tribe is 'suppose" to try and keep it open. I'll be surprised if that happens.
