    Chainsaw compression

It isn't clear from the pictures and I can't find any description of the adapters. Do each of the four hoses and four adapters have a Schrader valve at their ends? If not, this would not be appropriate for chainsaws and other small displacement engines.

It was manufactured the first week of June, 1993.

    Chainsaw compression

At the time, I was rebuilding my brother's 562 on a new bottom end. I don't recall exactly but it was over 150psi when using the modified adapter. Using the unmodified adapter had me thinking that there may have been an issue with the ring/piston/cylinder/decompression valve.

    Chainsaw compression

I had to make an adapter for the new smaller sparkplugs on the Husky 5xx series. All the compression testers I could find, used an adapter for this smaller plug. I took one of the adapters and modified it to put a compression tester Schrader valve at the very end. It changed the readings on a...

    Husqvarna 262XP value

Yeah, $600-$800 was my guess, possibly more if you find the right buyer. Bought mine new in '94 for $480 and still use it. A small correction, the desirable carb paired with the KS cylinder was an HDA-87.

    Husky 350 oiler

Can also be a misbehaving tank vent. It can create a vacuum in the tank as the oil is pumped out which will cause the oil to not pump as much or at all.

    Withdrawn Husqvarna 350, 346, 353 350 345 340 357 359 Handle screws!! ( need 5)

A set of three long ones, two short ones. If you were to buy these at a major online supplier, they would cost almost $40 shipped and maybe they are in stock, maybe. No quantity discounts :) $14 shipped doesn't sound so bad.

Husky 435 & 440 - same specs but different HP?

For these two models, isn't this one of those cylinders that is the same but they have different transfer plates?

    Sold NOS Husqvarna Brakebands

Thanks! I've got to count the number of brakes I have that need bands and whether they have the other special pieces that aren't with your bands (nuts, plastic spacers).

Want to Buy Jonsered 630 Thin rings

They are good. The shipping shown implies that they are not in stock though. You might try calling them to see when (or if) they expect them.

Want to Buy Jonsered 630 Thin rings

I've had bad experiences with this seller. If everything goes well, they're great. But if anything goes wrong, it's never their fault. Read their negative feedback - there is plenty to read and they share a common thread.

Neighbor wouldn't allow Oak Leader to be cut past property line, tree may die?

I understand all that and the law is similar here but has nothing to do with the point I was trying to make. If the dead branches bother the OP, he could give them back to the neighbor to deal with by tossing them a few feet. I didn't read anything that said that the tree's limbs were posing a...

Neighbor wouldn't allow Oak Leader to be cut past property line, tree may die?

I get the sense the spite runs both ways. Since the tree belongs to your neighbor, technically so do the branches. Why was it so important to cut the tree versus simply throwing (ahhh giving back) the branches on your neighbor's property? I have red oaks, yes they shed branches occasionally...

    562XP Fuel Issues

As JD asks, does the primer bulb pull fuel to the carb properly? I think you say it does but can you confirm? If so, with a dry carb and no primer bulb usage, will the pump side of the carb fill when you attempt to start it? If not, then yes, the pump diaphragm and/or the impulse line path...

    Hoosqvarna 261 issue

Bad recovery after WOT can be the main jet check valve. You didn't by chance blow this carb out with compressed air when cleaning it? That can destroy the valve mechanism in the jet. Then the only fix is to replace the jet.

Repairing Walbro WA-59. Unknown potentially missing part

I have no first-hand knowledge but I don't believe anything goes there. It likely is a welch plug but one that is not meant to be replaced. All of the action in that area is the flapper valve sealing against the underside of the circuit plate until there is enough vacuum from the venturi...
