    Porting?Washington

Jack is a logger and works on saws. He lives in Pacific Northwest. I have not had any work done by him but as mentioned previously, he has a YouTube channel that will give you an idea of who he is. Also, Rich Dougan is in my neck of the woods only about a half hour south of me in Oregon and I...

Picked up an MS 250 advice

What have you tried so far? Have you put a different spark plug in and check for spark? Have you checked the coil gap and ground? Have you cleaned up the magnet on the flywheel?

    Tuned Exhuast? Huh?

Riddle me this… if the exhaust port is smaller on the cylinder side do you have your first expansion of gases immediately as they exit the cylinder? Short answer yes, technically. Long answer, uh no that’s not what we are talking about when we think of scavenging. Either way you begin the long...

    Needle and seat question

I have a Walbro on a trimmer that just won’t set properly no matter what gauge I use. I hadn’t thought to use the MightyVac. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Husqvarna 572XP

Definitely do some research before dealing with dead wood or hardwood leaners. Please, please, please take your time and be aware of what is going on. That means above you and in the cut. WATCH YOUR CHIPS! If your chips turn into rotten dust you are in danger. Always cut the rotten stuff the...

    Stacking instruction help

What are the advantages of stacking firewood in these configurations? If you stack the wood "log cabin" style you can estimate quantity and it cures much faster due to increased air flow and surface area exposed to the air. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    346XP(NE) Stock Timing

It's a good place to start. No need for a beginner to try and deck, port and polish right out of the gate. Bringing up to stock will give me the experience of working in the jug with the tools I have, don't have the extra cash for 14sr kit :) Once I get comfortable working at those angles and in...

    346XP(NE) Stock Timing

I would like to bring the saw up to stock (blueprint it). Not interested, at the moment, in building it. My question is... where can I find technical data for design value timings, compression range, port widths, etc.? Thank you in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lucas Ethanol treatment good, bad?

Agreed. Separate the ethanol out before using it in your saws. We could get into the science of how emulsification and demystification come into play but it is much easier to just separate the alcohol out and go on about your day. These threads almost remind me of diesel additive threads. :)
