Can I repair the bearing in this bar?

I already have a replacement bar with a serviceable tip on order, this one will probably get scrapped.

Can I repair the bearing in this bar?

This bar tip is not removable and it looks like the bearing came apart. Is it worth the time to repair and if so where are the parts sourced from?

Found a 20" 72 DL Guide Bar For The Echo CS-590

I am not running a Husky bar on the Echo, only the cache of 72DL chains I have for it. I bought the Archer bar which is an 72 DL bar made specifically for the Echo saw.

Found a 20" 72 DL Guide Bar For The Echo CS-590

Per Oregon's specs page that part number matches to a 70DL bar. https://www.oregonproducts.com/en/powercut%E2%84%A2-guide-bar,-20%22/p/200rndd176

Found a 20" 72 DL Guide Bar For The Echo CS-590

Just picked this saw up a week ago and one of the first things I needed was a 20" 72DL bar as I have a number of those chains from my 455 Rancher. Saw lots of posts but nothing concrete as far as part numbers. Found this Archer bar on ebay with a chain for $49. It bolts right up, ran great had...

Is my Husqvarna 455 Rancher worn out?

I made a purchase today. Seemed like the Echo CS-590 has gotten some good press. With a leftover Home Depot gift card it knocked the price to half of what the Still MS-311 would have cost. My only complaint is the 70 tooth bar , I will have to get a new bar to take advantage of all my chains...

Is my Husqvarna 455 Rancher worn out?

Thoughts on a replacement, was looking at a Stihl 311. It would at least allow me to use all my existing chains without soen6 a ton, a bit more power as well.

Is my Husqvarna 455 Rancher worn out?

My 455 Rancher seems to start ok, has trouble idling and then won't restart when warm. I followed the Husqvarna manual in diagnosing the ignition module, it will throw a spark over a plug that is gaped at .040. I put a compression tester on it cold and it came up about 110, read about 90 when...

What is happening to my trees?

Here are a few more pics: https://photos.app.goo.gl/rcHsZ4AxmcKG6AZR6 Had a few comments from local folks that the trees were weak and that the bores went after the dying trees. Going to have some folks come out from the county and take a look.

What is happening to my trees?

We live in Middle Tennessee on a 5 acre wooded lot. As of late I have noticed a number of trees dying. Upon closer examination to some I noticed what looked to be a bug problem. Can you folks take a look at the attached pictures and let me know what I have going on? Happy to take more pictures...

How to store downed trees so they last

I have 5 acres of property and have the means to move them after I cut the trees up. They will all be limbed. I was planning on maybe having a few piles so that I don't have to move them all over the property. I also don't want to create a risk for snaked, etc to hang out. What makes effective...

How to store downed trees so they last

This is probably a very rookie question...I have about 40 trees I need to process and want to save the firewood. I have no formal means of storing the wood. I tried some pressure treated 2x4 on cinder blocks - and it was ok. But this quantity is way beyond that. The trees are of various size and...

Stihl 009 Do I need a new plug wire or can this be repaired?

The plug wire pulled out of the boot, I shoved it back in and the saw ran. Should I just order new wire or repair what is there? Should the plug wire be soldered to the spiral plug connector?

    Stihl Brush Knife Longevity

I dug out my FS85 with the brush blade on it. The blade itself has a lot of scale and the steel retainer cut just let loose on it - and will need to be replaced. - Does the blade itself look salvageable or does that level of corrosion indicate a cause for concern? - What do you folks think of...

    Can these chains be repaired?

I had to file the burs off the drive links to get the chain to settle in the bar. There are a few nicks on the drive sprocket - but it doesn't seem messed up. I can post a pic later.

    Can these chains be repaired?

An hour and a half later, both chains are up and running again. The guy at the power equipment dealer told me that once a chain gets pinched, its junk. Probably under the guise of selling more new chains. I think my problem is two fold. One. the chain is not tight enough to begin with. Two...
