If you stick with the 3/8 set up, it seems you are limited on bar choices. Oregon has the double guard (pointy nose) or the pro-lite/pro 91 with the more rounded nose which I prefer. Look it up by searching Oregon 160SPEA041. If you switch over to .325 there are a few more options. Left...

No ignorance in this post at all. Many people waste a bunch of money on the wrong saw(s) only to learn the hard way what you just said. It depends on what size wood you expect to be using the saw for. If you expect to cut some larger trunk sections, a bigger saw makes a big difference in work...

Most of the time, when I talk about cutting locust for firewood people look at me like I have asparagus growing out of my ears. Around here most people pass it up (I just don't think most have ever tried it). I go out of my way to cut it and never turn it down.
