    In need of a part!!

Im looking for a drive sprocket for an old 042. Ive looked on ebay and the ones that they have on there arent the same style thats on mine. I think my saw is a bit older. If anyone has one or knows of a good place to find vintage parts i would be glad to know.

    Carb question

Well i adjusted my first carn today. Everything went ok. I took your guys advice and i think im in the clear. I adjusted it before i cut any wood. It fires right up without flooding. I took it out to the wood after i adjusted it there and fine tuned it while i was cutting. I think its...

    Carb question

Yes thats my thought too. But when the saw is out of the wood it doesnt seem rich. Thats why i was wondering if it can be rich on the idle end and lean on the high end.

    Carb question

Ok this may be a silly question. I know that a saw's carb has a low and a high screw for adjusting the carb. Does that mean that the saw can run rich at idle an too lean in the wood? I have a saw that tends to flood when started but never really strokes out when revved out of the wood. This...

    Carburettor Testing (Get it Going)

Ive never seen those things before. Thats worth every penny. Although im sure once i get a little better at tuning the carb i wont have a problem. Ive always just cut untill i had a problem and took it into the dealer. But since i found this site i quit taking it to the dealer!

    drive sprocket

Does any one know if a drive sprocket from on 048 will work on an 042? They sell a conversion kit for it but i dont want to do that to the saw. And if not does any one have one they would want to part with?

    What's Happening with Husky?

Therefore the saws are made with less features, and at minimal cost. Quality compared to the pro lineup isn't "compromised", but done in a more economical way. The cats that buy "homeowner" grade saws expect exactly what the are getting from the saw. If they ever by chance run a "pro-level"...

I can stop the chain while in a cut ..Is my clutch beat?

You have to listen to the saw. There is a fine line between pushing too hard and not hard enough. The more you cut the easier it will be to hear it.
