Need a replacement chainsaw...someone just stole my Husqvarna 450! I'm vexed!!

I have been thinking the same thing regarding just getting another 450. If your Monday deal doesn't work, let me know. I'm not in a rush since I have all my firewood ready for the next year or so. But it's like they say, "it's better to have it and not need it,..."

Need a replacement chainsaw...someone just stole my Husqvarna 450! I'm vexed!!

I just went back outside to find my Husqvarna 450 missing. I've had it since 2010 and it has served me quite well. Any suggestions on what I should get to replace it? I was thinking 346xp but it seems those are no longer made. Please advise. Thanks

    Insert blower suggestions welcome...

As the cooler temps approach, I realize I need to tend to the blower on my fireplace insert. Last season, the blower would crawl to a start and was really noisy. Sometimes, it wouldn't turn much and would just sit there struggling to get get going and I would just switch it off. So, are...

    Making kindling

I use a basic outdoor trash bin to store my kindling and bark pieces. I use another one for noodles. I also use a couple of them to transport and store wood that's about to be burned closer to the house. I tote them from the wood pile with hand trucks, so it's really easy to move them...

    The ultimate OverNight-Burn Thread !!

For the best overnight burns, it takes time to know your stove. After a year or two, and sampling different types of wood, you'll get better at it. My stove is small compared to others on this site (Morso 5660), so in order for me to get a good overnight burn, I have to have a very good bed of...

    termite infested wood....?

I kinda thought spraying wood with pesticide = not good. Due to the fact that once wood is burned, chemicals in the air which we all breathe, especially me. I'm also talking about approx. 8 (quantity) 12"-14" (length) logs which are 8"-12" in diameter. Each log will probably get me about 5 or...

    termite infested wood....?

I know it's probably been discussed before, but here's the deal: I got some sweetgum from my neighbor that was standing dead. They took it down as soon as whatever bird nest up there was vacant. Half of the tree was hollow, and they planned to use the hollow pieces as flowerpots. I already...

Amen to that sentiment! My Fiskars and my chainsaw have been great marriage counselors on more than one occasion.

    does my woodpile attract vermin?

Do woodpiles attract snakes? I have approx. 4 cords stacked on pallets at the back of my house with woods behind my house. My neighbor mentioned my attracting copperheads (and my burning wood more than probably anybody on the block :msp_thumbup:). Is that 4 real or would said copperhead...

Doh!...I put in 2 stroke oil instead of bar oil...

I put in straight 2 stroke oil...and the bar oil was already half full of real bar oil. I thought it would be fine, just making sure. I also know some guys who use old motor oil for their bar oil. One thing that was curious is I saw some sparks flying while cutting down this small oak...

Doh!...I put in 2 stroke oil instead of bar oil...

So how bad is it? I just put the Husqvarna 2 stroke oil in my bar oil compartment (Husqvarna 450). The bar oil was already half full. Ran the saw for about 5 minutes, then it dawned on me. I've drained the compartment, but how bad is this dumb little mistake? I'm hoping that emptying the...

    what's next????

:agree2: ...plus maybe she wants an "emotionally" motivated gift. Something nice and feel good (jewelry, a dress, weekend getaway, etc.) instead of something practical. Men are practical, women are emotional. That's why men and women get along so great together.
