    I made some chain vises

M My grandfather taught me to install a vise on the corner of a bench with the back fixed jaw lined up on both sides with an 1/8 inch clearance from both edges of the work surface. I can then clamp my work standing up 90 degrees in two directions. No problems with my chain clearing either...

    Mastermind Meets The MS441C-M

Shuts itself off once after about five minutes of running. Then I can burn several tankfuls with no issues. This happened the last four or five times I used the saw. Power seems to be less than what it was. Running pure gas, no alcohol. Gas station up the road is privately owned and they...

    I'm done here.....

Nobody likes to admit they don't have the answers to tough questions. Unfortunately, it still is the best way to learn to become a master. It is also the measure of a man ... Btw, the issues you raised did have merit. Wonder how long before this thread is "censored"?

    I'm done here.....

Lots have changed since the hack-attack. Camaraderie and joking-poking is pretty much gone. Seen it happen several times over the years on different forums. Bite your tongue and move on, no sense moving something that doesn't want to move. Plenty of other opportunities out there.

    New Chain Sharpener

Just about every post on this subject, I mention using a battery powered drill on the low speed setting. I am approaching a hundred sharpenings with the first bit. As for the previous poster chipping his carbide bit ... he was trying to bite off more than the bit can handle at that critical...

    MS261 VS MS261 C-M Comparison

OTOH, the 441 is quite the tool. Every one that tries it out wants to steal it ... Hearing them mutter that all they have to do is swap out the plastic got me worried. :buttkick:
