    Just got a 572xpg!

... and it obviously is a well handling and nice looking saw. I have some health issues that keep me from running it properly though, but the trigger response feels really nice, like on the 560xpg! :D

New and "new" Husky chainsaws in 2012 catalog (Norway).

I finally got hold of a 2012 Norwegian catalog, and there are some slightly surpricing more or less new models listed: - The 562xp/xpg is now listed in addition to the 560xp/xpg - maybe there is hope that the other way around will happen in the US? - The T540xp is listed (as last year), but...

    .325x10 rims?

Does anyone have a sourse for that, for a standard 7-spine hub? I have lost the link I had to costume made rims. My brother wants it for his new 7900, that I assume he will port, and likely for the used 372xp and 2188 that he has coming as well (E-bay saws)!

The IPLs are now back on the US Husky web-site.

The option of searching for IPLs is now back, after missing for a few weeks! Link

No chisel chain in 3/8" lo-pro/Picco/mini? - now there is!

I got the Norwegian catalog today, and there it is - the Picco Super 3! Have anyone heard of it before? The downside is the "3" of course, but I don't really know how much it matters.... It looks like it will be standard on the MS241M here.

Why is there no threads about the MS251?

Not that it really interests me, but I just found out that there will be such a model. Does anyone have a clue to which "platform" it will be on?

Are there too many Sticky threads in the Chainsaw forum

I think there are, they reduce the the "readability" of the forum!

I don't know where to post....

.....right now - many of you Americans are just too cheap in your mind to follow my thoughts.....:) I ordered a 2153WH today - even though another 50cc saw is absolutely the last thing that I need!:givebeer: I guess saws are more about feelings than needs!:laugh::ices_rofl:

    MS391 and 311 on the German web-site.

From another thread; Link The weight specs are 6.4kg for both, and the cc/power specs 64.1cc/3.3kW and 59cc/3.1kW, respectively..........:popcorn::givebeer:

    Chain Length

If you buy a 20" bar, the pitch, gauge and dl number will be stamped on the bar. Avoid .058 gauge bars if you want to run Stihl chain - they make them, but very few dealers stock them. In 3/8" it will normally be 72dl, but there are exceptions. Btw - 67dl is an odd length for a Husky mount...

    Was there a 064 red-eye???

There is a saw referred to as a "064 digital" on a Swedish site - but I never heard of a red-eye version of the 064 before....

    Jonsered 2188 = Husky 390xp

I just got the 2009 printed catalog - the 2188 is there, and the 2186 is gone! Specs are the same as for the 390xp, no surprices there..... It is not on the web-side yet.

T425 - new (?) tophandle saw from Husky?

I found this OM dated 2008-03 and an IPL by coincidence when looking at the UK web-site. Have anyone heard of it before? Looks like it has a 25.4cc engine, rated at .96kW (about 1.3hp) - cute little thing, but why??? :dizzy:  Is it a Poulan in Husky dress?

    Stock MS361 at 14280rpms....

...is something wrong with that, when it "four-strokes" nicely??? I noticed earlier this year that it performed better than ever, and really screamed (15" bar, 8-pin 3/8") - put a tac to it, and it showed that number. I got a bit scared, and turned it down to 14080, but I don't know if...

    346 xpg - New Edition

I found that my dealer had one today, even though it is not on the web-site yet - and bought it after a conference with   Witchy :yoyo: I don't have the bar and chain that I want to use on it yet, but with a 15" 95VP set-up, you will have to stand on it to stop it - very...

    Is WP chain really Carlton?

The "missing" Carlton stamp is just natural, I believe, when they are "rebadged"........:) Husky/Jred and Dolmar etc chains are rebadged Oregons, but the stamps differ.... ..

    Sachs=Dolmar 7900

As far as I know, Sachs hasn't had anything to do with Dolmar, since they sold Dolmar to Makita in 1991 or so. As you describe the situation, the 7900 probably is the right saw (I have never used one, but I have read lots of reports from people who have).

    "Jonsered 90" on Ebay

Look here. The seller claims the saw is a Jonsereds model 90 - I am pretty sure that it is not - more like a 70, 70E or 66. What is your opinion? :yoyo:

Power output of Husky 338xp and 339xp

I have been wondering for some time why the 39 cc engines of these saws does not put out more than 2.3 hp, not much Xtra Power in that rating. In fact I think they have to purposely port them less than even semi-optimal, and/or put smaller than optimal carbs on them to arrive at such a...

Ebay saw - Is this really a Husky 266 ?

Take a look at this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Husqvarna-266-This-Husky-is-real-nice_W0QQitemZ7730528811QQcategoryZ85915QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I have never seen or heard of a 266 with gray top cover and orange chainbrake handle before. These features suggest that it is a "Rancher" model from about...
