    Excavator stuck!

Thanks for sharing. Get around the muck and that'll happen. I have done a few recoveries like that. Things add up quick$$$ I took a rented hoe 25 miles up the river to the face of a glacier and almost tipped it a few times from fast water and gravel that was like jelly and gave no support...

    ATV skidding

Similar to were I am cutting but a lack of snow this year and lots of overflow have the woods flooded with ice up to five feet. I think it's gonna be a long breakup here. Tire chains make a big difference in those conditions. Here without them I would just slide around bouncing off trees.

    burning pine

It may have been the saw forum but I was getting riled up from the suggestions that spruce is a poor choice for firewood. This region has traditionally used spruce and white birch. I deal only with the spruce and love it for milling lumber and selling as firewood. Some guys her would give the...

    Trailer options

I have to chain up my 700 to haul wood up hilly terrain, mostly I use it to bring wood down the mountain which really helps. My current site I am able to use the big ATV and a trailer to haul out logs. One mans hill is anothers speed bump so your terrain is gonna determine what your rig can...
