I run an 18" bar on the 362 C-M, largest diameter trees I cut for firewood now are around 14" diameter so the 18" works well. I cut on a rocky ridge, so a long bar sticking past the end of the log can end up hiring a rock. I do have longer bars I can use if I need to cut something bigger.

My 041 purchased new in 1977 is my favorite also. Have had many other good Stihl, but I like this on the best.

Good Suggestion! I have the pressure gauge. Never thought about a metering diaphragm being the wrong length.

My 021 has a separate impulse line.

I have two saws that have leaked gas inside the carburetors. Gas is apparently leaking past the gaskets. No problem to replace gaskets with carb kit, but I can't figure what is causing the leaks. I can rotate the pferds, the stihl holders are harder to rotate the files.

Pulled the head, some carbon buildup. got most of it off. Is there a solvent that at least will help remove carbon when I have direct access to the carbon?

Apparently the arm is held on by the traditional horizontal bolt and nut, not sure where they got to. Now I need to figure out how to adjust the governor when I reassemble it. Anyone have experience with this operation on a 120600 (1216020331E1) Briggs?
