I’d have to fondle it to let my brain re-engineer it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SuperSplit flywheel set screw keeps coming loose

If you have the clearance, we always drill the shaft for set screws to set into. This is on 1.5”-3” shafts for bearings and any this else on a shaft in my gravel crusher line if work. Sometimes you can drill with a bit and not hit the threads, sometimes you gotta mark it with a pilot drill...

Good to know. This one is only a back up to my 362 but I want it to run as good as it can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Poulan 4000 differences from 3400/3700

Upon closer inspection I have a 3700 so not all is lost. Maybe I’ll just put some ring in her and keep it as the back up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Poulan 4000 differences from 3400/3700

I have a 3400 that could use rings to bump the compression. She’s getting tired. What would I need to get in order for a 4000 cylinder to work? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Greasability on clutch bearings

Exactly. The clutch drum is only rotating at a different rpm from the crank, only at idle. If the chain is moving and the clutch is fully engaged, the clutch drum, bearing, and crank are all moving at the same speed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cheap Bar Oil?

Any chainsaw bar oil works. Don’t use oil that is not bar oil. It doesn’t have the right viscosity or tackyness to stick to the chain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Shop ordered wrong bar

Point out the mistakes and have them make it right. Then find a new shop. They might be able to send it back to the factory and not have to sit on a $100+ bar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Kindling Splitter

I don’t think they are that bad. It better then being unskilled with a hatchet and chopping a finger off. My sister for example bought a house with a small fireplace insert. She doesn’t run a fire 24-7 so she is always starting a new fire. She is also not coordinated enough to run any chopping...

    Bar grease.

Whatever you do, don’t use any moly. Moly grease is for pins and high friction. You need a lithium based multi purpose grease. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can’t go wrong with a kumma. I have a vapor fire 100 and it might be a little out if your budget but it’s worth it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
