Does anyone know if you can replace the round file in the Stihl 2 in 1 filing guide with a HEXA file since they don't make a 2 in 1 for HEXA chains?

I run the Stihl brush knife (3 blade) on my FS130 and it does very well on brush less than 1 in.

Ok, I fell for it. Ha Ha. I went out and took the schrader valve out and pulled it over. After a few pulls looked at the gauge puzzled because it read zero, duh, no valve to hold the pressure in it. Thanks for the laugh. And yes it pulls over like the plug is out of it.

In the service manual it says 7.25 psi for 20 seconds, this applies to both pressure and vacuum tests. If you haven't found the service manual yet pm me and I'll send it to you.

After reading these this morning, I did a compression test on my 260 & 290 today. Both saws are cold and have not been started in a few days. The 260 is at 155 psi and the 290 is at 180 psi. Gauge has a 12" hose and a scrader valve in the end of it.

That'll be on my to do list then, thanks.

It does not have the decomp button and if the oiler is pumping at idle that explains it, I'll look to see if it has the hole with the arrow on the bottom like my 290 does. If it does not have the adjustable oiler, how hard is it to convert it and is it worth it? Thanks for the tip on the air...

Picked up a ms 260 yesterday for a decent price. Good compression, just had carb rebuilt and tuned. Came with new rs chain & used rs chain, bar was rough so picked a new one up today. I've read on here that these are pretty decent saws, now is there anything I need to watch for on it? One thing...

+1 on the Ridgid drill/driver 18v lithium with the lifetime warranty. I bought them in 2008 and they replaced the batteries in 2012 with no hassels. I'm an avid DIYer doing most of my own repairs/remodels at my house & cabin.
