    023 Carb

Hi all. Have a Walbro carb here from a 023 that I have apart, but I don't know how to identify the model. Does anyone know the needle height setting on these beasties? Thanks in advance.

LOL, I can't tell if your working hard or grinning from ear to ear? Strange how something mechanical can give so much pleasure.

    Saw Geeks

Is that Bill Gates brother? Far out, look out Stihl owners, next you'll have to re-activate your ignition system every time you modify your saw beyond factory spec. "Your call is important to us, please hold the line and the next available non English speaking operator will assist you as soon...

    Old Chaps.

I had no idea Chaps has changed over the years, in fact I only replaced mine a short while ago. I don't want to start a 'rant' on safety here, instead I thought I might just post a link to this video for anyone that was interested and is not tired of the subject yet...

    Dumb Chainsaw related injuries

Man, that sounds like something from a Vincent Price horror movie. Same thing happened to me, was not watching what I was doing coming out of a cut, luckily I was wearing chaps. My brother had made a joke about me wearing them earlier in the day.

    Today's Job...

"With legal liability etc they can't just let any man or their dog on the place to cut and take it either" You know I seen a government organisation down here stack pine and offer it as "cut your own". The sign was'nt up for very long at all, imagine the litigation potential?

    Today's Job...

Over an inch groth for one season ey? Sappy. Oh well, you'd better be saving some of those trees for the new Dolmar mate. Good weather tomorrow I'm told.

Progressive Modding of a Dolmar 7900

Fantastic, just fantastic. I actually don't mind the look of the HD filter setup, doesnt seem to protrude into the abyss like the Husky setup. Here's an idea, seeing as though it's coming to SA anyway, divert it my way and I'll check it for freight damage etc. No need to thank me, that's just...

I was sad when I should have been giddy...

I know how you feel. We usually grab our firewood from the same farmers property each year, this time around there was enough wood left from last years episode to meet our needs and because it was late in the season it was decided not to cut for the following year. The saw was there, ready to go...

    My new redhead is here

Not a scratch to be seen! congratulations on the new saw, I would love to see a vid of it buried in some chunky wood. I noticed it's power rating is on par with the 372 at the same RPM (9600) but also the "Maximum recommended engine speed" was also 9600, is that right?

"Grazed himself" sounds like a quote from Monty Python. I hope your not going to tell us that your neighbor drove himself to the hospital?

Awesome Friction Reducing Product - Chainsawa and Everything Else - Energy Release

All valid points, which reinforces the main point, use a known lubricant with known properties and your on the home stretch. PAG always came in sealed/measured tins, anything that could be potentially/easily exposed to the atmosphere should be used with great caution I think.
