Here is the setup I have used for cutting cookies (large walnut). MS660 with 42" Oregon bar, 3/8" pitch 0.063" gauge. Ladder used for first cut, only. Subsequent cuts made directly on previous cut surface.

Each STIHL 2-in-1 file guide will fit ONE round file diameter, only. You cannot change size. They exist for: 3.2 mm (1/4" pitch) 4.0 mm (3/8" pitch Picco) 4.8 mm (.325" pitch) 5,2 mm (3/8") 5.5 mm (.404")

You are right, it's a Vallorbe file guide ... ... and Vallorbe makes a similar (but different) one, too ... ... and for completeness, here is a picture of the Oregon file guide ... ... and the similar STIHL file guide ...

Nope, that is a standard Oregon file guide, with the round file secured by two spring-clips. Notice the file guide in my original picture secures the file using two wing nuts centered on the file guide plate (one at each end)

I noticed a file guide in a sharpening video that i have never seen before. Same style as the Oregon and STIHL plate holding a round file, but different. Any of you guys seen it before? I'd like to know brand and/or source for it (see picture): This is the video that features the file guide...

For a refurbishment project, I really need some info on this vintage Jonsered saw (model designation etc) and especially the carb marked "TILLOTSON / TOLEDO O / USA", which is in desperate need of new gaskets etc. Ideally some sort of technical/workshop manual is such a thing even exists.
