    Various chain sizes and types

Helping a family member clean out a garage and found some chainsaw chains, will probably find more before all done. Wanted to find out if people buy stuff like this? Some look to have lots of life left, going by the teeth and others are pretty worn. Most look to be either .325 or 3/8, one...

Countyline 30 ton splitter heat issues?

AW46 and ATF can also be used according to manual, AW32 is what they used. I did check the temp of cylinder and after 1.5 hours of splitting, it was 170.

Countyline 30 ton splitter heat issues?

Do you know what the actual temp is? Sent YTL an email and talked to someone at the service center and both said they don't think there is an issue. It does have a 3 year warranty on the hydraulics. Just guessing here but would think if there is an issue, something would happen before that...

Countyline 30 ton splitter heat issues?

On mine, it says to not screw it in. YTL makes them now. Have not heard any screeching. Couple times it slowed to a crawl but never completely stopped. Don't think manual says anything about duty cycle unless I over looked it. The most we ran it at one time was about 1.5 hours, once we had...

Countyline 30 ton splitter heat issues?

Before I split anything with it, I did check the oil and it actually had too much in it, took a small amount out. Now it is where it should be at on the dipstick. Also trying to find out if this splitter has an adjustable relief valve.

Countyline 30 ton splitter heat issues?

Just recently bought a Countyline 30 ton splitter from TSC. Getting a little concerned about the heat it is producing on the cylinder and trying to figure out if this is normal. Did some splitting for less than 2 hours and outside temps are in the mid 30's. Took a temp reading on the cylinder...

    Countyline 30 ton log splitter

I got a chance to run the splitter. Ran it less than an hour and when I stopped, I checked the cylinder and it was extremely hot. I checked fluids before hand and it is good. Trying to find out if this is normal or not before I contact TSC about it. Outside temp is in the 30's. On my old...

    Countyline 30 ton log splitter

Ty for info. I will look into a magnetic drain plug when I do the first oil change. I believe the 25ton has a different series engine than the 30 ton so guessing it could be a different size. On the wheel bearings, I plan on repacking them as there is very little in them which seems common...

    Countyline 30 ton log splitter

You said the wedge wears out, are you talking about the 4 way wedge? I thought about getting a 4 way wedge but after hearing others talk about it, think it might be more of an annoyance then it would help. Thinking would constantly be taking it on and off. On the magnetic drain plug, where do...

    Countyline 30 ton log splitter

Decided to get the Countyline 30 ton from TSC. Have not had a chance to use it yet but will soon. One thing I will say for anyone that buys a splitter, this probably goes for most brands especially the box store brands and is not really a knock on the brand, is to check all the bolts, hose...

    Countyline 30 ton log splitter

Possibly looking to upgrade our current log splitter, which is a MTD 20 ton with a Countyline 30 ton log splitter from Tractor Supply. Wanted to get opinions on it from those who have had it a while. Watched a few videos on it and do have a few concerns about it. One is the plate that the...

MTD 20 ton log splitter wedge adjustment

We have a MTD 20 ton log splitter, not sure of the year. Having little bit of an issue with the wedge adjustment. There are two wear pieces called gibs with an adjustment screw on each of them. The one on the bottom keeps falling out. I took both sides apart and on the side with the gibs, 2...

    Ky Storm Damage

I am just north of Louisville KY and we thankfully did not get any damage, just some wind. Heard one news station say this could be worse than the outbreak of 74. Thoughts and prayers to all those affected.

    Hearing Protection w/bluetooth

I use the worktunes with radio and bluetooth. One thing about them, not sure if there is something wrong with them but I don't hear any notification when I get a text or voicemail when they are connected to my phone. It will let me know when I get a phonecall, just not a text or voicemall...

    Grinding depth guages

I read through part of that thread, will have to give it a thorough read. For the depth gauges not hitting the same spot on the grinder wheel, like you mentioned I set one side, then checked and reset for the other side. Since doing 2 chains, I have not had a chance to cut any wood to see...
