I bought this saw from Redfin this last spring, but now I need to raise money for another project. This saw has been ported by Mastermind. It is ugly, but runs like a scaled dog. I will include a 32" Tsumura bar and four new chains. $750 plus the ride. Pictures soon.

Confused about chain pitch and power

I had it backwards. And that my friends is why you shouldn't drink and post. Or at least I shouldn't.

Confused about chain pitch and power

Chain gauge applies to the driver but not necessarily the width of the cutter. I might be wrong, somebody chime in if I am. I have .325 .050 b/c that is full width, and .325 .050 that is narrow kerf.

Confused about chain pitch and power

First off the smaller diameter sprocket on the .325 setup spins faster. Secondly the number of cutters between the two, doesn't equal the difference between full comp and skip chain. Third consideration is the width of the chains and consequently the width of the kerf.

Time For A New One... Husky, Jonsered, or Stihl?

I'll throw in another vote for the 372. I have one that has run a 24 and 28" bar for the last 8 years. I've never had any trouble with it, it eats wood like a starving dog, and it's not to bad on fuel.

    New Wood Hauler..Maybe

I had 97 Dodge 3/4 ton diesel that was probably the best truck I've ever owned. I put a boatload of miles on it, about 350,000, no really. It plowed snow, hauled wood, and generally got it's butt kicked all the time. Got better that 20mpg unloaded. I paid 5 grand for it used.

    keeping combustibles safe

I live in crappy old house built entirely out of cinder blocks, even the floor. If it somehow caught fire, it might actually get warm in here. And the wife might quitherbitchin.

    Morning rant

Every time my kids use it, 20 push ups. Problem is, I have a 7 year old, that can wrap out 70 push ups. And she's a she.

    If someone else were paying

I really like the cheapy WoodlandPro NK bars. The only draw is, if you pinch the bar it's ruined. SOO... don't be dumbass, like me. But seriously though, I have the 18" 72dl for a warmed up Husky 350 and it EATS.

    Morning rant

There is one word that absolutely drives me up a wall. Like. I guess I don't mind its use when describing affection for a person or object. Or when it's used to indicate similarity between to things. However, it is more commonly used in place of words such as "said", "did", "thought", well you...
