need a replacement ring for a 30+ y/o 020 avP chainsaw and I've been told rings for these are NLA. Are there other saws that have the rings with the exact same dimensions? Should I get them at my local stihl dealer?

What does NLA mean?

I have a 70s stihl 020 avp, and there is a torn of section of the gasket between the Cylinder and the bottom part where the of the rotating happens. Is this even a big deal since the piston doesn't go below the gasket anyway. Like it does in a car.

There are some good cedar logs on the beach that aren't rotted thinking about chopping them up and then dragging them away with my kayak. Then slicing them up with my bandsaw. Does this sound like a good plan?
