Red line 2 stroke snow mobile oil.

Been using redline for years in all of my 2 strokes without issue. The snowmobile oil is engineered to flow at low temps in injection situations. Will work great in your saw! I have burned up at least a gallon of the snowmobile oil in my saw, weed whacker, and blower. If you run a modified hot...

    Time for a New Stove

Look at pacific energy. They have inserts for fireplaces. I have had one for 9 years and love it. Lifetime warranty on insert and blower motor. Great efficiency without catalytic converter.

    You burning yet?

Down to 31 last night but today it's going to be 60ish. Insert is clean pipe is clean and wood is all stacked and ready to go. Next project will be helping a bad squirrel friend who hasn't put up his wood for winter! The good part of that is it earns me private land Elk hunting.

    New 6421 Makita help.

Thanks for the advice! I was able to get out and run the 6421 and was totally impressed with it! My previous saw was a Stihl ms270. Huge difference in low end power and top end power with the 6421. I'm going to love this saw. It's going to speed my firewood cutting way up!!

    New 6421 Makita help.

So I was one of the lucky few who purchased A new 2015 6421 Makita at Amazon for 439.00 with free shipping. I'm stoked about that but I have a few questions I can't find an answer for. 1. Do the newer 6421 have some sort of exhaust recirculation devise in the muffler? 2. Do these saws run...

    Makita 6421

Got in on that same deal and received my saw yesterday! Have a couple questions for those with 6421 experience. Do you have to remove the cad in the muffler to achieve best performance? Is there other epa crap inside that Muffler some have called it a exhaust recirculation device? Does the saw...

    synthetic 2 stroke race oil

Stihl does not make oil. Some other company makes it for them. I have been using redline in all my 2 strokes for 20 plus years and have never burned one down. Had a injection pump cable snap on a yamaha 440 and ran that sled hard all day at 100 to 1 and never seized it. Any good synthetic is...

What's the best stock chainsaw ever built?

The best saw is the one your buddy is running as he is cutting your fire wood!

    Chainsaw Fuel...

good fuel I don't know where you live but here in montana they sell non-ethanol 92 octane gas at some stations. You should never run any 2 stroke on ethanol fuels. Ethanol washes pistons dry and makes them more prone to scuffing. One thing that can help with this is synthetic 2 stroke oils. I...

    Stihl ms 270 starting problems

thanks Yes you are right it needed to be richened up a bit on the low speed ajustment. I think the reason my 028 runs so well for so long is I use redline synthetic 2stroke oil at 40 to 1. I haven't even changed the plug in 4 years redline burns so clean. No carbon deposits at all! Plan to do...

    Stihl ms 270 starting problems

Just bought a ms270 to replace my 028 wood boss. The 270 is hard to start! Is there anyone that is familiar with the 270 who can help me get it set up right. My old 028 has perhaps 60 cords of wood on it and still runs strong and starts cold on three pulls. I may have made a mistake buying a new...
