I use 3/8s but I cut stumps and have another saw that uses 3/8s and it make sharpening easier. I really like the 550XP.

I did some noodling a couple weeks ago. My 5T electric won't quite handle the big ones. New Husky 550 XP really throws the noodles.

New 550XP, 20" skip chain. Converted to 3/8, LOVE IT! Had to noodle all the stuff too big for my 5T electric splitter.
