    Anyone tried this TimberlandSharpener?

I use a hand file, I only use the grinder when I hit something and smash a tooth (or several teeth). It is pricey, but I'd like to try it, looks well built.

    OWB setting

I Dont doubt it, I just dont care. Its ease of use and safety far exceed my expectations.l heat my 2200 sqft home the domestic water and a spa all winter with about 15 cords of wood my home is 103 years old and sits on the prairie here in ND where the weather is to say the least extreme.I could...

    OWB setting

Really, it has to be complicated? #1 cut down tree #2 cut tree into smaller pieces #3 split those pieces into even smaller pieces (if you choose) #4 let dry (if necessary) #5 haul to area near wood burning appliance. #6 BURN and enjoy. These are the steps to burning wood simplified. There is a...

Ahhh the sights and sounds of spring

The longer I stand here and look out the window, the longer my honey do list gets! If I had 38 months of nice weather I still couldn't get it all done! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2

Does anyone continue to burn in the warmer months?

Just wondering how many of you guys and gals burn wood in the warmer months, to heat thier domestic hot water or a spa? I personally never have, I guess I was concerned with the fire danger and just the simple fact that Ive never been that far ahead of the cut, to spare the wood. Id be curious...

i went to jonestown and i drank the koolaid

I hear that. Some of the ash up here is so gnarly it makes the whole frame on my splitter twist as it passes through, and if you can find a straight trunk, you'd better make lumber out of it!

How much wood did ya use so far?

About 10cord, I never started as early as I did last year though, and that north wind really sucks the heat out of this old farm house. Hope the weather turns pretty soon or I'll have to start wackin away at the very trees that protect us from the wind.

    New Grapple!!

I've had both the upswept teeth and the flat, I sold the High Rock root grapple (upswept teeth) to buy the Bobcat Indst.toothed grapple because back dragging is almost impossible with the upswept teeth. The root grapple was good for alot of things but it lacked in a few crucial areas. I guess...

Post pictures of your woodpile/splitting area

:msp_scared:We still really aren't sure what caused the fire, because it was very damp around the woodpile. Right away we thought foul play because we had a dispute with a neighbor over some land we had permission to cut on and he didnt think so but after confronting him about it I really dont...

    Recommendations for OWB

Can't say a whole lot about other brands...but my experience with WoodMaster has been really good, I bought my first one 12 yrs ago, after a fire caused by a electrical problem with a pickup truck, destroyed it and the 40 (or so) cords around it. WoodMaster came out and installed a new one. To...

    Mother of all log splitters!!!

No one here was "blasting" anyone, just a warning, because more times than not, I've seen people who should know better, do it to save a few bucks, wether or not the fittings on this splitter are safe or not is irrelivant, there are many out there that are not safe which was the reason for the...
