    Want to Buy Chainsaw tach

I have a DTI FastTach that I bought in April of last year, used maybe half a dozen times. Both saws are AutoTune's now, so no real "need" for it. I have a tiny tach if I need something. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

    New Arrival- 576XP

I just got one in the mail from Spike60 :rock2:. Had an opportunity to cut with it on Sunday, don't regret the change one bit. The torque is a vast improvement. Only thing that I noticed was noodling led to some jam ups in the clutch cover, but it looks like there's a nub on one of the...

The want is strong for one of these. That's a really good price. I'd need to unload the 372xp first.

    555 Review/Total Bar Question

I have a Sugi Hara 18" on my 555, not a total, but very similar to the Tsumura light and tough, its been awesome. I have a total bar on my 372 that I ordered from TLandrum/Wicked Work Saws, you should check with him.

    Who builds the strongest 562xp?

You have my attention. The 555 rarely gets mentioned, hiding its its big brothers shadow, but I don't regret buying mine for a second. Even if its bone stock at the moment. (runs and hides) I know, I know, without even a muffler mod I should lose posting privileges.

need advice wood insert low cost models...

SBI is a parent company that produces Osburn stoves, as well as Drolet, so from that aspect I see nothing wrong with going with a Drolet unit. I have an Osburn 2400 insert in the basement and have considered a Drolet for the main floor fireplace, but haven't bitten the bullet yet. SBI makes...

Dirty Hand Tools Splitter and general splitter questions...

I have the DHT 27 ton, and it has split everything I've put in front of it, with one exception, I have some unidentified wood, about 28"in diameter, my assumption is elm, but no bark or leaves left, but that is the only thing that has stopped my 27 ton. And by stopped I mean when trying to...

    Used osburn 2200?

I bought my Osburn 2400 Insert used, wouldn't hesitate to buy another in a second. There really isn't much to go wrong with them, and if you have any issues, I've had no problems getting replacement parts for mine. At that age, the firebrick is probably due for replacement, but outside of...

NEW DHT (Dirty Hand Tools) 35 Ton Log Splitter

I have no regrets buying mine either. Mine gets warm as well, but still works great. As a homeowner looking for a splitter for personal use, DHT can't be beat as far as bang for your buck is concerned.

Osburn Matrix Wood Burning Stove Insert

As far as the manufacturer, I have an Osburn 2400 insert that I'm very happy with. I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything they produce. They have a US sales rep that is a forum member here (I believe) and elsewhere whom is very responsive and helpful. I've had my eye on the Matrix if I ever...

Introducing the new Log Splitter Line from DHT (Dirty Hand Tools)

I have a complaint regarding mine; I haven't got to use it enough. Works great, had time to do the first oil change on the engine, figured I'd warm it up first, that Kohler fired up on the second pull after sitting for probably 6 weeks. Excellent choice on the engine. Things has...

Introducing the new Log Splitter Line from DHT (Dirty Hand Tools)

I've been happy with mine, although I haven't used it as much I would have liked to yet. No complaints.

Introducing the new Log Splitter Line from DHT (Dirty Hand Tools)

I got another few hours of use in on mine this weekend, about a full cord of Shagbark and another cord of assorted walnut, elm and ash. No issues with the operation at all.

Introducing the new Log Splitter Line from DHT (Dirty Hand Tools)

Dropping in for another update: Have about an hour's worth of use on the splitter now. Works great, zero issues with it, starts easy every time, cycles fast, splits everything with ease. Once I get some more hours on it I will follow through with my full review and pictures.
