When I sharpen my chains, I use a granberg file n joint. Clamp it on the bar, get all the angles set, and make sure u take the same amount of passes on each tooth.

I've never ported before, but would it benefit me to smooth out the casting lines and polish the ports?

I just got done redoing a 272xp. I went slow with a hammer and large socket. They went in fine.

Not gonna be using it anytime soon though. Got a fractured heel and L1 vertebrae on Thursday. No climbing for atleast 6 weeks.

The rebuild is going great. I was able to clean up the cylinder real nice and just pit in a new piston, ring, and bearings. Gotta port the muffler and put it all back together. This things gonna fly when I'm done!
