Besides the 042....

So, quite a few years agoa friend gave me a 048 with a very tosted piston and cylinder for the very attractive price of free! Im on the look out for a p&c still, but its also missing the coil. My question is what ignitions fit the 048 and is it shared with any other model??? Thanks, Big Mike!

The three saws that always seem to be given to me...... and i always take them are Homlite 330s (has anyone ever seen one with a good intake???), Mac 10-10 and the always popular xl-12. I think they made 1 billion xl-12's and 999,999,990 are still around!

Not worth fixing, so you can just drop them off at my house and i will safely dispose of them for you. (-: I'd start with the clutch bearing and also pop some seals in it while yourin there.

Just maybe! (-: I work on the tug that brings the wood chips into the mill by Barge. we load them in troutdale just up from blue lake.

I also pulled the mufflers and they both look great! Ill try to get a video up this afternoon of them both runnng.

They came from someone i work with. I work at a large paper mill with about 700 employees and most of them know i collect saws, so i get most of mine from work. I was very happy that both of the ignitions were still good in both of these! (I ran both of them for 30+ min.)

Too bad the pic isnt any other angle. But i dont think you can go wrong at that price.

Did I say free? I ment a dollar, So you can send that million anytime! (-: Im a sucker for 045/056's but wouldnt want to spend all year carrying one..

Heres the 056 after swapping out the .063 32" for a .050 stihl bar (need to get to the saw shop for a new .063 chain) next to my 045 Super II.

Added two new saws to the collection today! couldn't turn them down for the price of free! Got a pretty clean 056 super and a not so clean 041....And after fixing the pull cords and draining out the old gas they both fired right up! (-: Now just need to do some major cleaning!

In my neck of the woods (southwest washington/ cascade mtns) Its about 60 to 40 Stihl to Husky for the pros and 80 to 20 for Joe Regular. Whats a doolomar and these red saws you guys keep talkin' about? Crazy internet people making up names....

So, put some full skip 404 square ground .063 stihl chain on her today! cuts great!
