How Often Do You Add Water?

Never had any problems because of rain , in the summer I put the blank cover on the stack when not in use . Dealer said that any water that does make it down the pipe while in use will just vaporize. Never had any water laying in the fire box below the pipe either.

How Often Do You Add Water?

I looked into it at one point and read that they get clogged and were more of a pain . That's an older picture, I try not to put some much wood so close to the stove now in case of any flying sparks, which hasn't been a problem .

How Often Do You Add Water?

This my fourth year with a central boiler and the only time I have added water since filling it was when something settled with the underground thermopex and it was pulled off the valve at the stove. Other than that I haven't added a drop !

gotcha.. I have been thinking about getting it done . The 600 runs good with the 20 inch bar but seems to bog down when running a 24 inch bar in hardwood .

House gets to hot in the fall and spring

I had the same problem so we installed a zone bypass valve . When the thermostat calls for heat it lets the water flow through the heat exchanger and as soon as the thermostat reaches the set temp the water bypasses the heat exchanger and sends it right back to the OWB.

    Generator and sizing

Another way to hook up a generator can be seen at generlink.com it involves getting a different meter base and you plug your generator in to it and it won't backfeed the incoming line. But it has many restrictions on generators sizes and models

    Generator and sizing

The generator I had was a 7500 watt and it did a good job but I got a deal on this one and it will do 15000 watt running and 22000 watt starting amps . The only problem with these bigger generators is that they are gas hogs !

I refuse to do things twice if possible and digging up my yard and redoing my 135 feet of underground is not something i would want to tackle . Lots of bad stories with homade lines .

My central boiler 5036 is doing great. I put 3 big splits of pine in the back and put maple and a oak towards the front at 5 am this morning and probably wont reload till 9 or 10 pm. Temps were around - 3 this morning and highs around 8 but with wind blowing all day . Stat was at 70 because...

Would you buy the new Ford F-150 with the Aluminum body?

My local paper the Times Reporter had an article on this and said the new body is 97 percent alum and 700 lbs lighter . It also said that they sell a new ford truck every 41 seconds and make an estimated 10,000 dollars profit on each ford superduty truck ! I was suprised that they can make that...

Outdoor Wood Boiler Users. And Everyone Else.

My CB has the thermostatic valve and as long as the water temp is above 150 or 155 ( its one or the other ) water will flow to the hot water tank and heat exchanger. Unless they changed it in the last couple years .

I looked at Hardy , natures comfort , woodmaster ,and central boiler, talking to the installers as well as spent many hours on here searching reviews. The natures comfort dealer was a hack after seeing his install and talking to him so he was out of the running. It was real close between the...
