had that problem on mine had to replace the crankcase if you do that get one with the oiler installed

most of the 372s you are watching are probly ported in a head to head race with stock saws and the same bar and chain combo they would be so close as not to matter.

is there a depth measurement for instaling the oil pump in this?

stick with a brand that has a good dealer close to you.those saws all have a good reputation,but like was said before echos' warranty is a joke.husky and stihl are usually the best brands as far as dealer support goes.

i have a 170 and bought my stepson a 180 there is not a noticable power difference between them.the cut better than i would have thought a 30cc would.i wont hesitate to buy another they're great for small stuff.

oil comes out without the bar on but not with the saw running thats what has me confused

my ms170 took a fall out o a tree i had to replace the brake handle and the case.i bought a cas from a 180 off of ebay ad my buddy who is off work switced out the case for me and the oiler does nt work now it wont spray oil off the bar tip like it used to but it does leak oil out of the oil hole...

stihl guys just prefer a company that is more consumer friendly.husky dealers may be good or bad but the coporation itself could care less about customers thats been my experence doin warranty work for them.

my shop has always ben paid quickly by mtd and briggs polan ad husky w dropped because they dont pay.i'l agree mtd needs to streamline their warranty form.

thats one of the reasons i'm considering switching to husky.my two local dealers have to order in an airfilter for a 290 aint that there most popular saw?and 25 bucks for it i dont mind paying a little more but thats nuts when i can buy them through my shop at retail for 15.the aftermarket...

i've got spark and compression is 130 but it wont run.it trys to fire if you prime it through the carb but all you get is a couple quite coughs the mffler isnt plugged either.is that compression low?

i'm buying an ms 660 and want to know what option as members recomend.it will be wearing a 24 and 28 inch bar most of the time.i dont really need one a 441 would work but its cad and for the price difference it hard to justify going smaller,once in a while i need a 36 inch bar.
