    Vermeer SC252 Stump Grinder Clutch Problem (I think)

    If its the clutch you should be able to hear it slip when you engage it (its more like a metalic grinding noise than belt squeal) Hope it helps, had to replace the clutch on mine was a bout £350 ($700 approx :jawdrop: )

    Thanks for the info i'll look into getting one of the D or E carbs. I might have an old walbro knocking about actually, have to hunt it out :) There is no spark arrester in the exhuasts that are supplied to the UK, the exhuast is totally different than the ones ive seen posted on here...
