If its good enough for rentals Hi Jak, I work at a rental shop up in ontario canada, 6" is our most demanding size of chipper, if your going with the small size i say stay away from the vermeer, there machines under 9" are horrible, we tried a Rayco, which quite honestly aint that bad, we ran...

    issue with 028 bogging down

Back to the saw problem Good start with the one and one on the H-L needles, but that only a reference. Depneding on where you are and age of saw etc. it will need finer tuning. get it started and just turn it about 1/8 turn and try revin up again, and keep going ig you notice it gettin better...

    Stihl 064AV Expert diagnosis please!

From a Stihl Tech to be Use Stihl mix ONLY. It isnt much more if any money. Theres a reason you get extra warrenty if u buy stihl oil. So run 50:1 Stihl mix. might have floosed on you....in this case remove the spark plug, BE SURE THE IGNITION IS OFF, then pull it over a few times, and clean...

    Jonsered Set-up

Any of you guys know what RPM to set a Red 360 at? I only ever work on Stihl in my shop and we set up 12-14000 depending on the saw. Is the Jonsereds in the same range? By the way, i really like this saw, good power weight etc. Sure its no Stihl but u cant beat the price at free. That and i dont...

    Jonsered.....Good or Junk?

I havent been in the saw business long, 3 years apprenticing at a Stihl dealer. 036 as a logging saw

I see quite a few loggers running the 036/360/361 saw for felling. It is classed as a pro saw so it has the power and versatility, however i prefer the MS440, the weight difference is minute where the power difference is quite noticable

Recommend Bar Oil & 2 Stroke Oil

If your running a Stihl chainsaw, i cannot stress enough to run Stihl mix oil. When you buy a Stihl, you will loose your warrenty instantly if you use any other oil and for good reason. Anything else just dosent have the same properties. Ive seen 660's come in 2 weeks old with smoked piston...

    .325 or 3/8 bar chain

When we're dealing with chain from stihl, theres a few sizes, 1/4, .325, 3/8, .404, and 1/2. As said in the first reply this refers to the distance from the centre of one rivet to the next on one link of chain. So if its 1/4 chain, thats a quarter inch from rivet to rivet. .325 means there is...
