In he last 3 months I've burnt up 3 880 all for the same issue leaned out due to hole in he rubber boot joining carb to cylinder. We are running these on the alpine magnum & they run great I don't believe this is an alpine issue but wanted to know if there were any similar issues out there.

if you a ground speed valve you can adjust wind it out & see if that fixes the problem had the same issue with my 8018 & that was the problem think a kid may have been fiddling when I was having a break.

I was just wondering what drive belts others are using. Ive been running non genuine on the 8018 no problem but they over heat on the 7015 & cant source a non genuine belt for the hurricane.

Hi Dave, I know they have just done a lot of work on the muffler so it may depend how old your model is. But even the older model I believe was better than the original. I know the latest version is running several deg lower in temp.

Alpine the only way to go for that type of work.

Remove disassemble clean repack it with grease reassemble replace. It does not take that long you know you've fixed the problem & can replace the bearing if its suspect. I've had to do this with used equipment that hasn't be well maintained but haven't had an issue with my equipment...
