Hi Folks, I have a very nice 306 that received a new piston and rings. This saw will not start without a prime. Once started it will start all day until it has a few hours not running. I've had the carb off a couple of times and all has checked out OK so I'm searching for answers.

I have a Ryobi strimmer which runs very strongly however when I put it away there is always a small puddle on the floor, of unburned gas which has come from the muffler. I've been undoing the gas cap to releive and pressure but to no avail, so far. Thanks, lee

This saw is diving me nuts! Saw has good comp, spark and freshly cleaned carb. It will only start on prime and runs very fast (WOT) until it dies, 20-30 seconds. Could it be an air leak? You can see the fuel pumping thought the line. Both H&L set at 1 turn out. I swapped the WT for a WA...
