    Ms200t vent lines

I’m wondering why I don’t have that vent which I circled red in the picture. I only have the one pipe coming out of the gas tank that connects to the bottom of the carb. Most 200t I’ve seen online like this one I stole from google all have 2 hoses coming out of the same hole Of the gas tank...

    Ms200t vent lines

Just acquired this saw and came with no back plate, filter and filter cover. It does run and has good compression. I’m just wondering what lines are missing there seems to be a few uncovered nipples...I don’t have another one to compare too...everything might be there but I doubt it. If you...

    ISA certified arborist embarrassingly easy.

I wrote mine a month ago and did better than I thought I would. I only read the study guide because I didn't want to buy all the other reference books the isa suggested to get, lots of extra $$ invested on top of exam fees and all. I read the study guide 5 times to make sure I understood...

    562xp little problem ?

I've never had that problem with my 550xp, and the first time I use this one it does that, and I'm not using it any different than I use the 550 I've ran that one for a year and a half. On the other hand I did have a new guy working with me for the first time yesterday...I may have to have a...

    562xp little problem ?

just acquired a new to me 562xp. It's a 2014 model with only one tank through it.First day cutting with it and when I was cleaning it up last night I noticed the top of the saw is making contact to the gas tank unit...it wore the plastic out a bit. I was pushing pretty hard on it it was a...

handled descender favorites pros, and cons

Yes the throwline is a good idea, I have never tried it, I find sometime it takes a pretty good tug on the rope to get the knot to "un-sinche". But throwline is pretty strong, it should work. If it doesn't work you'll just have to climb back up :p

handled descender favorites pros, and cons

A running bowline chocked around the spar is what I use on conifers. Leaving a super long tail for retrieval is extra annoying when tying that knot...what I do is I usually leave a couple feet of tail , when I'm ready to come down, I get my groundsmen to send me up the tail of another rope and I...

handled descender favorites pros, and cons

repelling down with the ID will be awesome and controlled...maybe an alpine butterfly mid line and choked around a good crotch...repel on one side and retrieve with the other side. ;)

You can also install it midline as long as you can come up with a little slack in the line

handled descender favorites pros, and cons

The petzl ID L rated "yellow" will not fit on half inch rope, you will be able to insert the rope in the system but it will be very hard to operate and feed the rope through it. The red petzl ID which is G rated is perfect for half inch rope. The grigri2 is also not good for half inch, designed...

    Couple videos

Yes it's a good saw, very reliable. I prefer my 550xp but the redmax is never too far and I take it out for a workout once in a while.

Softwood will go for saw log and pulp for the smaller stuff, the slasher will sort it all out. Hardwood will be sold to firewood contractors.

    550XP Updates

I've got around 100 cords on my 550xp, gives off white smoke for 5 seconds on the first start of the day, after that it runs perfect. I run at 40:1 and use the Stihl premium mix. :)

Is my new 550xp missing a hose from the tank vent?

My 55o is just like that, no hose and runs great.
