    log splitter engine swap

Might check to see if an adapter is available. I went from a 1" shaft down to I think 3/4" with one. Price wasn't bad either

    Wood haulers??????

Had a 90 ford f350 dually flatbed 2wd 351 5 speed. Wasn't very good on anything other than pavement. Traded it for an 84 f250 4x4 with 351 and auto. Made a flatbed for it, does so much better off road.

What saw are you using this year?

Same as have been. Echo 351, Echo 440, and Shindaiwa 757. Been a good combination, have other saws, but can't beat the reliability of the Echo saws, the Shinny is a dang good saw as well.

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Stump looked like maybe Locust, had the looked like many multiple stems that formed tree, but about 18" at small side and around 30" at big side... I have seen locust around 18" and thats tops... This is big. Oak is good too, I am a scrounger so if it burns I like it.

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Getting ready to go check out a pile of what I was told to be Locust... What do you think is it Locust? Has no bark, and a lot bigger diameter than I have seen out of a Locust. Pic makes it look a little more yellow than it really is

    Forester Bar and chain Q

I had a forester bar and chain... Bar held up well and chain was good, believe the chain was a Carlton, but have heard Forester changed to the tri-link chain since then.

    Got me a New splitter

I agree, but the guy has this one all cobbled together. It's missing some pieces, and has homemeade pieces in it. I changed plug, started it and ran for about 5 minutes held wide open, pulled plug and it looks like its running as it should. If I can find a good detailed pic of the gov. setup I...
