I have not replaced the carb yet. I am still poking around at this saw every now and then, and a couple of times a day I start it up rev it a bit and let it idle for a while. Each time it seems to run better and respond a little more to tuning. I can't decide on a convincing conclusion as to...

compression came in at 170psi. Today, I pulled on the starter some more. I sprayed carb cleaner in the carburetor...no dice. I took the spark plug out and sprayed in the spark plug hole, and it started on the 2nd pull. I had initial settings at 1 turn out each, and it was very rich. I tried a...

Did any of you experience a weak ignition on your kits? I get a spark, and the saw will mildly pop sometimes when trying to start, but I can't get it to run.

I have not yet read the last 30 pages of this thread so forgive me if this has already been proposed. I would like to request that someone, on their next build, use a can of computer duster on the crank bearing journals at assembly. right before you take the case halves out of the oven, turn...

Huztl FarmerTec What Saw Build Kit Would You Like to See Them Make?

I think that Huztl wouldn't do to bad to offer a 041 Super conversion kit. Jug, studs, nuts, piston. That one shouldn't be too tough to do. There are a lot of 041's out there, and a lot of people who want to turn them into Supers.

Huztl gave a little preview in a Facebook post regarding the 026, 046, and the 880. They are also supposed to be at an Expo in Kentucky right now. https://www.facebook.com/huztl.net/?fref=mentions

There has to be an 088 (MS880) or 3120 kit. What man would not buy one of these just to have it? I mean it's the largest of the modern style saws. If you started building them, how many of your clients would be begging you to sell them one? If I were having a BBQ, I would have it sitting near...

The Lumberjack show was about 20 years ago, surprisingly I have not been back since.

Yea, Lumberjack show. The dude would give the audience a choice of what they wanted to see for a grand finale, a pole climb or some axe throwing thing. the audience always chooses the pole climb. The look of dread on his face was painfully obvious. Maybe he could be booked for the GTG

Stihl 041 Super - Pawn Shop Rescue

The only part you will have difficulty finding is the Cylinder. There is some possibility that you could have a hard time finding ignition parts. All other parts should be readily available at a dealer or on eBay. It doesn't look like you will need to find parts though. This is one of those...

Huztl FarmerTec What Saw Build Kit Would You Like to See Them Make?

I'll put my two cents in regarding why I favor the 880 over the 070. I would be using a larger saw like this for milling, and while it is true that in the cut you don't really feel the weight of the saw so much, you do feel it everywhere else. The 070 is 10 lbs heavier than the 880. Also...
