I had one that wouldn't oil . I replaced the rubber oil line and that solved the problem. I think they shrink and suck air instead of oil .

The previous owner mixed gas to lean . 375. 00 PHO . Not sure age .

I'm selling a real nice 261 C . When I got this saw it had some light scoring on the piston . I cleaned up the cylinder and put an OEM piston in it . Runs excellent. It comes with a 18 bar . 400 plus shipping. PM me if interested.

I put the old carb. back on and it ran like a top ,also didn't leak like before . It must be something with the cheap aftermarket carbs

I'm selling my 044 . Just had it out the other day and it ran great. It has a new meteor piston and carb. rebuild . It does have a small hole on the cylinder cover and the brake hand guard had a crack that I plastic welded. Other than that saw is in good shape. PHO . Asking 425.00 plus shipping .

Go to beg for manuals in the chainsaw stickies and request one . Once you get it apart and cleaned up you'll figure it out pretty quickly.

I have a real nice MS 460 for sale . I took this saw on trade a while back . All I did to it was clean a little . Starts runs and cuts excellent. Compression was taken 4 pulls cold. The man I got it from takes excellent care of his stuff . Asking 550.00 PHO. Plus shipping .

Well I have good and bad news . The good news is piston is not scored after all . Bad news is I found and bought a used p/c . When taking apart I found a screw behind the flywheel. That must of been the bang and scraping sound I was hearing. I had the shroud behind the carb.in the wrong...

I used Masterminds method to clean up many pro style saws with excellent luck . Clam shells don't seem to do so well . Also I wasn't able to find a meteor piston for this saw .

Well I tried cleaning up the cylinder and put in a aftermarket piston . It didn't last long so I'm looking for an OEM piston and cylinder if anyone has one.
