    Bench grinder feature

Oh, I see what you mean. I have the Tecomec one (I think its in Carlton brand) and never use that feature. Maybe I should. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

    Case Splitter - Homemade

I know this is an old post. Anyone have any updated drawings? I can't access most of what is on this post because of some obnoxious graphic from photo bucket.

Crappy tach seized my mom's saw

Check the crank bearings. I've seen the cage come loose on those. I've also seen a small baffle come lose in the muffler and fall into the cylinder. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

    What Carb is this?

It's not a WT. Check for letters such as WYJ, WYK, etc. Almost 100% certain it will have 3 letters. WT look more like the walbro pics above. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

    Bench grinder turned bar grinder

I have a much larger machine. I also have two stones that look like they would fit a grinder like this. I would consider a trade for special tools or who knows what. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Huztl FarmerTec 070 Build Thread with upgrade info and completed saw

Interesting discussion that definitely has me riding the fence. Bottom line, companies like Huztl are clearly riding on the coat tail of STIHL. They are selling these as STIHL parts kits, knowing good and well folks are assembling them and thinking they have a cheaper version of STIHL quality...

    STIHL 042 AV muffler

    STIHL 042 AV muffler

I'm in need of a muffler for a STIHL 042 AV. Used is fine as long as it's in decent shape. Let me know what you have. Thanks in advance!

What's everyone use to clean a carb when rebuilding

That is a danger of the ultrasonic cleaner. Just make sure you pull it out as soon as the cycle stops. Immediately dry and blow out left over water.

    Case Splitter

Looks relatively easy to replicate. Assuming you have the right metal working tools. Lol

    Stripped out plastic threads

That was my thoughts. I'm just wondering if the plastic is wide enough to use such a product. I'll have to look at it again this morning.

039 got me scratching my head?

True. Or at least remove the screw from the vent hose.

    Stripped out plastic threads

Anyone have a good solution for a 020T with stripped out threads in plastic for rewind screws? The screw in it now has the large or deep threads for plastic threads and the plastic is stripped. I'm not interested in rigging but I'm looking for some viable solution that will 1) give me good...

039 got me scratching my head?

Of all the components mentioned, it's the most likely. If it appears to be drawing a vacuum in the tank you need to locate what is preventing the vent. The vent hose seems most likely. Frankly, that style vent hose seems a little archaic for 2017, in my opinion. Surprised they haven't come up...
