So after much debate and research I ordered the 572xp today. Got to try out an MS 462 and it had great acceleration...awesome acceleration. However under load with a longer bar it doesnt do as well as a 461 because it doesnt have the low end torque. For what I use a 70cc saw for low end...

I dont find a the 661c to be a failure. It runs better than any unported 066 or 660. Its also quite smooth.

I broke down and bought one of those cs500p echo's...I replaced the echo bar with a 16" power match plus Oregon bar, and put an LPX chain on it. It cuts fast and it's still stock. Beware ms 261 and 346xp the new boy is in town. Echo may not make an 70cc saw that can compete with the 441 or...

Thank you for the advice all of you. I bought an echo cs500p a little while back love the saw...I was looking into buying a pro bar and chain for it...I got a power match bar 16" for it. I wish there was an adapter for the Stihl super ES bar but I couldn't find anything for it, unless you guys...

So filing by hand...id be better off to get the oregon lpx? and what about performance is there any noticble difference?

I been running Shindaiwa Red Armor in my echo cs500p...good lightweight saw...paid 450 for it...bought me an oregon powermatch 16" bar for it.

I'm looking at either getting an lpx or an RS stihl chain. Just curious what would be the fastest cutting chain at a .325? And does stihl chain actually last longer in terms of sharpening and stretching or is that just Stihl fanboy talk?

Save yourself the questions and get an echo cs500p amazing little saw, weighs less than 346xp or ms 261. Can't go wrong with it.

Any appropriate length Oregon bar will work with any echo saw correct?

Will a stihl bar fit on a husky or an echo. Like for example would a 16" duromatic or rollomatic fit on my echo cs500p

More considerations...Im gonna get the cs500p tomorrow...and I was thinking maybe if I got a 390xp it would take care of the need for a 70 and 90cc saw...it only weights 15.5 pounds. If I for some reason ever need to run bigger then a 28" bar...I'll just look for a used 880. Just a thought.

That was pretty helpful Morgan...no biased branding...yeah I dont have a problem with midrange saws...I just dont like stihls prices on theirs for what they are. You tune any of your saws?

if I had the money Id buy every model and make...each cc class would have the same bar and chain and I would youtube all of them. Their would be no more valid arguements if somebody with a good chunk of money would just do it and make it unbiased
