And the auxiliary fuel pump specs? Wasn't they concerned about adding weight with the electric choke?

    Husqvarna Homeqwner Saw Plastic Construction

Why would any one want to hold a flashlight in their teeth? When the guys on the floor have a hand in decision making, that is decentralized management. Aside from winning nearly every major WWII contract, it made GM great.

Chainsaw Dyno bring saws to there knees. Build from start to end with video

I like this. You might find a way to use a motor of given size and measure the pressure (in Volts) at various RPM. Seems like it could be more straight forward and easier to dissipate heat. An electric motor might be engaged by a direct shaft bore aligned with the crank. Nice dynamometer BTW.

Too many Saws not enough wood.

No one suffers from CAD. Not having wood to cut is a ailment.

    What's The Best OWB?

Somebody throwed 8000 cigs in a outdoor boiler? That is wasteful. And not near my home, please.

Need a chainsaw for downed trees on my property

You hear HomeliteJim mention his Echo CS400 occasionally. With the allotted budget and the kind of work your doing that's what I'd buy. If someone has a saw this smooth in the price point, let's have a look. Heck. I wanna see any saw that idles as good as Jim's...

    What's The Best OWB?

Definitely get stainless, water-cooled door and no legs. Heatmor is probably the best. I agree that you should get the next size bigger than you think you need. 200,000 will do most homes. If you heat the pool, get twice that.

Still Following this Thread...? You've earned your stripes. Eastern Box Snapper 7 HP Gettin' the boulders situated in the border. That shrub is a Rose of Sharon. Dwarf Hibiscus. I think it is the state flower of Hawaii.

    The Best Grass on AS

Got Some Rain. Austrian Pine growing slower than I thought they did. Sorry them concrete border thangs aren't finished yet. Them and the paver border are new. Dunno if these pics work out. Trying it at dusk with the flash. Boulevard is the best stuff. That's public property...

i have to B*** about my dealer for a sec

There is more air coming in front of the fuel charge. The ring stays cooler and the saw takes longer to break in. Straight from Stihl headquarters. Nobody at Stihl can tell me if the other tolerances are tighter because the engineers won't tell them. Hahaha. The bottleneck in the exhaust side...

i have to B*** about my dealer for a sec

Sorry WHW, if it comes to carburetors or this issue, I was making an educated guess. We'll see if you get an answer you agree with. Maybe the perceived break-in on the new Stihls is a phenomenon. I've broke in six in the last two years and they all acted the same. I remember the 066's opening up...

i have to B*** about my dealer for a sec

Wider lift and duration on intake and exhaust openings ones allow for tighter tolerances. I've seen some fresh V8 builds that took quite a boost to turn over. I don't think it was just a compression issue. The newer saws are made tighter and straighter than ever. No one is gonna satisfy you...

    my experience with stihl

Here's one for the record. Deal with dealers who cut wood. Find the guy who talks your language. The frequent ArboristSite user knows saws better than the kid who is text messagin' instead of torquing down fasteners. "What a lot of guys are doin'..." is the wrong answer when you got technical...

i have to B*** about my dealer for a sec

Yup. Somebody needs to say it, Saw Dr. I got one in December before last and I can't see the problem many have with the 201T. So far this one's mods include running airplane fuel that's it. I think don't you can buy a little firecracker like that and think it will pop on wet powder. Give 'em...

i have to B*** about my dealer for a sec

joezilla, you might have throwed him off a little picking up a $600 climbing saw with limited experience that the guy didn't realize. Don't let anyone beat you down about it. Besides, that lp chain gets sharper on a grinder.

    my experience with stihl

I always felt Stihl was quite a reasonable organization. My German is a little broken, but not my saws. I tried to run them within spec for most part, and nothing major has ever failed on a Stihl. I got a couple open for some transplant right now. But I feel like these days my saws are run...
