    044 10mm KS Cylinder Question/Opinion

Mad Professor, it’s my first CJ, 85’ CJ7. I’ve now got an ‘86 CJ7. I’m on Jeep Forum under the same username. I’ve never driven a ‘60s Willy’s bit I’ve worked on plenty. My uncle has a 70 M38A1 that I’ve done a lot to.

    044 10mm KS Cylinder Question/Opinion

Heated cylinder and was able to remove the insert. Bonus; I did not ruin anything. Now to look at Time-Sert to get the counterbore. I’m still concerned with how much will protrude into the cylinder. No transfer. No scoring. No Nikasil missing or flaking. Exhaust port chamfer will need blended...

    044 10mm KS Cylinder Question/Opinion

Astute observation on the exhaust! Yeah, it looks like the ceiling of the exhaust port had a challenge at some point. The cylinder isn’t scored, can’t catch a razor on anything, the pictures are difficult, looks scored but is not. Yes, garage sale. The saw was for sale as well, but it was...

    Who Can Mod My MS460?

Blsnelling is in east/central OH. Mastermind (Randy) is in TN (I think). Don't know about the others. Glock37 is in Monroeville, PA and his brother owns a powder coating business in Irwin. He has a real good match for Stihl and Husky......doesn't do porting.

    stuck or seized bar tip

The Australian version of the 066/660 oiler. It pumps more volume. Nice little mod.

Who on here is set up to powder coat saws?

Look up Glock37. He is from Western PA and lives a few miles from me. His brother has a shop not far from here and they have the color damn near perfect. Look up some of his threads I think Randy (Mastermind) has done some work on his saws so you can ask around and see what they say. Just my...

Nice CJ. I've got an 85' I'm rebuilding along with a newly acquired MS460 that needs a clutch. What engine is in the jeep?

    Differences between Stihl 046/MS460

    Ultrasonic cleaners for carbs

I use Purple Power as well or Castrol Super Clean........I've noticed the pitch change as well. Another tip is to use hot water to speed up the heat effect. The USC works much better if you run the US action through a few cycles and get it Hot before dropping anything in. I've used mine with...
