    Vid of 353 vs. 545

Made this video today, noting how much more power my 545 was putting out compared to my 353. The 353 seems to be running a little rich, not hitting the rpms. I need to tune it it could all be due to the humidity today. Anywho thought this would be an interesting video.

Do stihls have more torque than husqvarna in general?

This is what the site is for no? It's a fun site that shares info and breaks up the monotony of life, if people like the subject then people talk about it. Especially when there might me controversy about a subject. My intentions where not to create controversy but rather to take a poll of the...

Do stihls have more torque than husqvarna in general?

Yeah I bored out the inside of the muffler and opened up the port. The steel is tough and it took a bit longer than I thought it would. The honey comb design inside the muffler is hard to work out with just simple tools. If you have good cutters you might have better luck than I.

Do stihls have more torque than husqvarna in general?

I love both brands and others for that matter it just easy for me to run one brand because of dealer and swapping bars and parts while working. I might break into the stihl market again if I feel I can entertain more disposable income at some point.

Do stihls have more torque than husqvarna in general?

That's what I'm talking about, I had had a couple of stihls and the last one I had was a 270 and even though a lot of people shite on that saw it was a good performer. however like you saw compared to my husqvarna 50 cc saws you could lean on it in the cut and it would power through. Now I'm not...

Do stihls have more torque than husqvarna in general?

I saw that poulan you posted on you tube, that thing looks like a saw that would have a lot of torque. I just get the feeling a lot of older bigger saws had more torque. I know your saying you could test the saw on a dyno, but what's your gut say on this. Would it be a no to the stihl as a brand...

Do stihls have more torque than husqvarna in general?

I have been seeing a trend on here and about stihls having more torque. I also feel like the few stihls I have used and owned seemed to be a little more torquie. Are stihl saws designed to have more torque? does anyone have insight into that? I currently only own Husqvarna saws so I can not do a...

    Stihl MS271

I have learned to really enjoyed your point of view, mostly because it is so unwavering when speaking about professional grade saws and how it is pro of nothing at all.

    Stihl MS271

I've run an owned a 270, and they are considered to be a mid-range saw not professional. They preform well enough and I did like the torque but if you have run a properly tuned ms 261 or husky 346xp, 550xp, 535, 545 the 270's and 271's aren't really in the same range. I think many who know would...

Big saw, little saw. Practically everyone on this forum has a 50 cc saw. don't you?

Fair enough, I thought that was a dig. I believe the issue is mechanical however and not operator oriented.
