Pics and a ms260 question to get rid of the sign of the Devil Post Count

I wish I could get it to drain elsewhere, unfortunately that part of the land is basically only a couple of feet above sea level about 200 feet from the ocean. That is the low point of the land There is a pond next to it on the neighbours. I have dug lots of ditches and have drained...

Thanks for all the suggestions on the saw. Interesting about possibly flooding as I assumed it was starving for fuel. Not sure if I will get a chance to look at it in the next few days but will try this stuff out and let you know what works. Sam the Bichon will be 13 years old in 3...

"Chainsaw Lumbermaking" by Will Malloff PDF Project

BR...Thanks for doing this...Great job.. I am looking forward to spending some time with it but not today as it is the first time we have seen the sun in a week. I just took a quick glance at it and this is my favourite picture so far! Does this mean I can replace my Uni-Saw with...

"Chainsaw Lumbermaking" by Will Malloff PDF Project

I agree that his set up looks complicated. I think what you have to recognize is the timing of the book, I think the fact is that he was one of earlier adopters of using the chainsaw for milling and that is what give him his credibility. As with anything else once you see what someone has...

    Stihl commercial trailer

You have got to be kidding me???? This is 4 minutes too long and I did not see the point and was bored and anyone else who has ADD was as well. I liked them going over the gorge. I usually like Stihl's commercials but the point of this was completely beyond me...

"Chainsaw Lumbermaking" by Will Malloff PDF Project

Great...Now it is starting to get into the good stuff. (f you run out of space you can also download it into sites like you send it which will allow larger files but these sites usually have a time limit on how long files stay. My wife uses this working at home all the time with large files...

    Barn Raising!

I was looking around at various frame structures and came across this "Irish Shed" that a young couple built. Not anywhere near as nice joints as your barn but it intrigued me with the cordwood walls and timber frame combination...

Router - vs -thumb --Mistakes to learn from?

First nice job on the rocking horse. Second, thanks for sharing as each time I read one of these stories it reminds me to work just a little be safer in the shop. I am with woodshop as most of my accidents in the shop have had to do with kickbacks on the tablesaw. Also every single one...

What are you building with your milled wood? merged

Two different bits, Combo for the outside and a bead bit for the inside... That only took about 30 minutes which I consider a quick and dirty as I did not sand or finish it. Also I just glued and shot a brad in the corners as opposed to a mini biscuit and I did not put on...

    anyone else's wife . . .

I agree.....You have to speak in terms she will understand... How many pairs of shoes does she really need? She can only wear one pair at a time. :) (and how many of those shoes does she never wear because they do not go with anything?) CHAINSAWS = SHOES

Sharpening saw chain with a Dremel?

I love the Dremel but you have to use common sense. I use an inverter in the truck on my single speed and works very well. Two things are key to this. First you must use a high quality stone bit or one of the diamond ones. I like the Oregon ones the best. Most of the other ones that I...
