My favorite dealer/friend charged me $900.00 + tax for my 660w/36" b&c. His advertised price was $1089. This is my fourth Stihl from him and he always takes care of me.

The 046 and 460 are great saws, definetly my favorite. You can cut all day and handle almost anything...It's a truly versatile saw.

I had a super xl auto that I sold a few years ago. It was a good firewood saw that took a beating. I think the exhaust tone of the old homelite is legendary. If i'm not mistaken, Jackyl used an XL in the rock song "Lumberjack". Well, maybe not...

I have run the Opti-2 oil in our local fire dept's saws. It's good quality oil and it is smoke free, which is nice for emergency and fire personel. We've never had any equipment fail but I run Stihl oil in my personal saws.

Any shims available yet? Am I still on the list?

I got my saw back yesterday. I'm very happy with the performance of the little 260. It really woke up and I'm sure I'll use it more often. Dan Henry was great to deal with and I appreciate the contact info from this site. :cheers:
