Pacific Energy Vista Door Air Wash

Thanks for the reply Ronaldo. I installed my Drolet Savannah in where the Pacific Energy Vista was. Big difference. The Drolet starts and burns great. Brought the PE Vista home from the cottage to be examined more. Your Super 27 likely has about the same door air wash outlet as my PE Vista. If...

Pacific Energy Vista Door Air Wash

The cedar kindling is very dry, made from split rails likely split more than 40 years ago. Stored indoors for the last ten years. Other wood is dry hard maple, ash, elm . Stove ,baffles ,chimney all air passages checked and blown out with air last week. The kindling will not start easily. If...

Pacific Energy Vista Door Air Wash

I have had this used stove about ten years, it was made in Dec 2005 ser WH-538682. It has always been hard to start a fire, if the ash dump is held open a bit it roars, as soon as the dump is closed the kindling dies quickly. Air control is open. Good dry wood, chimney 16 feet of ICC 6"...

    Increased idle tuning question.

Some of the 2 stroke model glow engines K&B 3.5, 6.5., 7.5 have only a simple venturi and use an exhaust valve to control engine speed. It gives instant throttle response.

    Ash to Elm.

All of the ash around me is dead. They have been fine standing dead for the last 5 years but now are starting to drop 6 inches diameter dead limbs. Most trees are 100 feet tall! A medium sized one had a trunk of 75 feet before the top. Top was dry and solid enough to go right in the furnace...

Inside Wood Gasification boiler w/1000 gallons thermal storage

I was thinking because the domestic water heater is not in the same building as the storage a side arm in series with the hot water into the house from the storage could be used. The side arm would be on a pre heat tank that had cold domestic water in and fed out to the domestic water heater...

Inside Wood Gasification boiler w/1000 gallons thermal storage

Looks Great. I didn't see that you were preheating your domestic hot water. A pre heat tank with a side arm convection exchanger could take some heat off of your main hot supply to the air exchanger. When the power fails do you have another power source say an auto start generator to power the...

I thought that a Portable Fuel Container for gasoline had to be red in North America https://www.scepter.com/products/consumer-products/?region=USA&usage=&size=&color=

    Dressing bar question.

If you use a bar dresser guide that references the side of the bar to get a 90 degree top then the side burr must be removed first.

Yall think she will hold up tommorow?

Sharpen the chain. Rim is junk. Put the new one on so that the chip ejector holes are on the outside.

    Chain Break Mania

A functioning chain brake saved a guy from ever getting hurt with his saw. I was out bike riding one summer evening and a fellow was cleaning up his tools after some yard work. He had gathered up everything except a larger electric (120 v.a.c) chainsaw. It was beside the road. I said to him that...

I got a start on it today

It's out in a bush right now. I think that it was 22 inches in diameter. Will go out and check left over parts in the scrap steel pile. Looks like 21 inches inside. Not really big enough for the butts of some of our hard maples so sometimes better to pull from the top of the log. Just how you...

I got a start on it today

This a skidding cone I made up out of a large water heater top, a piece of pipe and some bed frame angle iron. Don't look at the welds, old wet rod. It works great on my Norse 400 winch. Very heavy to haul in to the log, either top or butt. Never hangs up

    Sthil 044 help

Can you get the old 044 out of the burned building debris? Should be easy to find. Check the serial number off of the crankcase to see if it is really the same saw! If it is your burned saw the piston/ cylinder can be looked at.

Echo pole saw VS Stihl pole saw

I got an Echo PPT-280 about 4 years ago. Like it. 3/8 LP chain 12 inch bar. Lots of power and reach, but it is not light.

Post pictures of your firewood cutting kit

Looks like you have enough gear for a few days cutting non stop. No reason to stop production and go back to the shop. A spare saw? Stapler??

No seat belt on my tractor, winch and loaded tires with chains on the back. Power steering is great with a skid of wood on the forks.
